Jeremy
Simmons
American Forward Jeremy Simmons (204-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Brussels, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Liege (#9, 6-12) 83-79. Brussels is placed at 5th position in Belgian Euromillions League. Brussels is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-8 record. In the team's last game Simmons had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Brussels' top player in his first season with the team. Former College of Charleston star has very solid stats this year. Simmons is in league's top in points (9th best: 14.5ppg), rebounds (7th best: 6.5rpg) and averages impressive 65.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old Samoan John Tofi (203-C/F-84, agency: Pensack Sports) of Aalstar. Tofi had a very good evening with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Aalstar to another comfortable win 99-83 over the lower-ranked Leuven (#10, 5-12) being unquestionably team leader. Aalstar's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 10-8 record is not bad at all. Tofi is one of the most experienced players at Aalstar and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#5). He also registered 5.6 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (190-G-94) of Leuven (#10). Miller-McIntyre scored 13 points and passed eight assists. Despite Miller-McIntyre's great performance Leuven lost 83-99 to the higher-ranked Aalstar (#3, 10-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Leuven can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 5-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Miller-McIntyre he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Miller-McIntyre has a very solid season. In 17 games in Belgium he scored 16.7ppg. He also has 5.5apg and FGP: 56.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Olivier Troisfontaines (192-G/F-89) of Aalstar - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Thomas De Thaey (203-F-91) of Aalstar - 14 points and 7 rebounds
6. Alexandre Libert (194-G-90) of Spirou - 16 points and 6 rebounds
7. Demitrius Conger (196-F-90) of Antwerp - 17 points and 4 rebounds
8. Ryan Anderson (206-F-92) of Antwerp - 19 points and 5 rebounds
9. Bill Amis (206-PF-87) of Aalstar - 13 points and 11 rebounds
10. Brandon Ubel (209-F/C-91) of Brussels - 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
