American Ryan Anderson (206-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Antwerp and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 19 points and ten rebounds, while his team crushed Aalstar (#4, 10-9) with 23-point margin 93-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Antwerp maintains the 2nd position in Belgian Euromillions League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Antwerp will need more victories to improve their 12-6 record. In the team's last game Anderson had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Antwerp's top player in his first season with the team. University of Arizona graduate has very impressive stats this year. Anderson leads league in rebounds with 7.0rpg. Anderson is in league's top in assists (8th best: 0.9apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old American point guard Wesley Channels (190-PG-88) of Kangoeroes. Channels impressed basketball fans with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Kangoeroes lost that game 75-86 to the higher-ranked Oostende (#1, 14-4). This loss caused Kangoeroes to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-10 record. Channels is a newcomer at Kangoeroes and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Jeremy Simmons (204-F-89) of Brussels (#5). Simmons scored 17 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Simmons' great performance Brussels lost 78-84 to slightly lower-ranked Limburg United (#7, 8-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Brussels needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Simmons has a great season in Belgium. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.7ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 6.8rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Khalid Boukichou (208-C-92) of Oostende - 15 points and 6 rebounds
5. Korey Billbury (193-G-93) of Leuven - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Gavin Ware (206-C/F-93) of Antwerp - 18 points and 5 rebounds
7. Jevohn Shepherd (196-G/F-86) of Spirou - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
8. D.J. Richardson (190-G-91) of Spirou - 20 points and 3 rebounds
9. Seth Tuttle (203-F-92) of Limburg United - 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Corey Hawkins (190-G-91) of Antwerp - 22 points

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
