Tim
Lambrecht
Talented Tim Lambrecht (206-C/F-98, agency: Court Side) had a very impressive game in the last round for Gistel Oostende and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Top Division I Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 18-year old had a double-double of 39 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team was edged out by Oxaco (#3, 14-5) 101-98. Gistel Oostende maintains the 14th position in Belgian Top Division I. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Gistel Oostende have already lost 15 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Lambrecht had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It's his second year at Gistel Oostende and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Lambrecht has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.5ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.4rpg) and averages solid 62.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old swingman Nick Celis (196-F/G-88) of Oxaco. Celis impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Oxaco to edge the lower-ranked Gistel Oostende (#14, 4-15) by 3 points 101-98. Oxaco's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 14-5 record is not bad at all. Celis is well-known by Oxaco fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.2rpg and 4.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Oxaco's star - Sam Van Hoey (190-SG-91). Van Hoey scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Oxaco, helping his team with a 101-98 win against the lower-ranked Gistel Oostende (#14, 4-15). Oxaco needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 5 lost games. Van Hoey has a great season in Belgium. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.2ppg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Francois Lhoest (196-F/C-85) of Ninane - 25 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Tomas Goethaert (183-G-83) of Gembo BBC - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Gregory De Pooter (197-F-84) of Gent Hawks - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Geoffrey Hockins (188-PG-88) of RPC Anderlecht - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Sam Hemeleers (180-PG-95) of Gistel Oostende - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Dave Van den Brande (189-G-82) of Ekeren - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Adam Hall (198-F/G-80) of Royal Brussels - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
