The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 21 in the Top Division I took place in Gent. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Oxaco (14-6) to first ranked Gent Hawks (16-3) 85-82 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oxaco. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gent Hawks had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. It was a good game for forward Gregory De-Pooter (197-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Laurent Lhote (182-84) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Nick Celis (196-88) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds for Oxaco. Gent Hawks have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Oxaco at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Gembo BBC. Gent Hawks are looking forward to face Houthalen (#5) on the road in the next round. Oxaco will play against RPC Anderlecht and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Important game to mention about took place in Ieper. Tenth ranked Ieper (8-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging second-best Waregem (15-5) 62-61 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Center Gilles Dierickx (213-92, college: Seattle Pacific) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 21 rebounds for the winners and Robin Mestdagh chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Thomas Foucart (192-84) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Ieper moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Melsele. Waregem at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Ieper will play against Ninane (#11) on the road in the next round. Waregem will play against Gistel Oostende (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Gembo BBC (14-6) against eleventh ranked Ninane (7-12) on Sunday night. Host Gembo BBC was crushed by Ninane in Borgerhout 89-65. Francois Lhoest nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Tomas Goethaert came up with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for Gembo BBC in the defeat. Ninane maintains eleventh place with 7-12 record. Loser Gembo BBC keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Oxaco. Ninane will meet at home higher ranked Ieper (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gembo BBC will play against Royal Brussels (#8) and hope to secure a win.
Bottom-ranked Gistel Oostende managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses. This time they won against seventh-ranked Royal Brussels 71-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Royal Brussels. The best player for the winners was Tim Lambrecht who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Gistel Oostende's coach Sam Rotsaert allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Gistel Oostende maintains fourteenth place with 5-15 record. Newly promoted Royal Brussels keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Gistel Oostende's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Waregem in Waregem and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
Important game to mention about took place in Antwerpen. Sixth ranked Soba (11-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Melsele (8-12) 73-71 on Sunday evening. It was a good game for Mitchel Gorremans who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Soba moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Houthalen. Melsele lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Soba will face Giants B (#7) in Antwerp in the next round. Melsele will play at home against Ekeren and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 21 Giants B was smashed by RPC Anderlecht on the road 93-68. Ekeren won against Houthalen on its own court 72-66.

Ieper - Waregem 62-61

Important game to mention about took place in Ieper. Tenth ranked Ieper (8-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging second-best Waregem (15-5) 62-61 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Ieper dominated on the defensive end, holding Waregem to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Waregem 50-33 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked RPC Anderlecht (6-13) crushed at home higher ranked Giants B (9-11) 93-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-68. RPC Anderlecht shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a good game for the former international point guard Geoffrey Hockins (188-88) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Power forward Nicolas Neskens (201-84, agency: Promotex) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Center Bert Van-Den-Broek (201-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Killian Van-Den-Langenbergh (197-98) added 8 points in the effort for Giants B. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for RPC Anderlecht. Guard Dave Van-den-Brande (189-82) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners.
