The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 5 rounds. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Gent Hawks (16-4) on the court of sixth ranked Houthalen on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Houthalen 73-71. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Gent Hawks. Center Dario Clemente (204-86) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Bart Maesen (198-89) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Gregory De-Pooter (197-84) responded with 18 points. Houthalen (12-9) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Soba. Gent Hawks at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. Houthalen is looking forward to face Melsele (#8) at home in the next round. Gent Hawks will play against RPC Anderlecht (#12) and are hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Waregem (15-6) against fourteenth ranked Gistel Oostende (6-15) on Saturday night. Host Waregem was crushed by Gistel Oostende in Waregem 86-64. Guard Sam Hemeleers (180-95) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Abel Baptista supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by center Bart-Willy Samaey (199-87) did not help to save the game for Waregem. Waregem's coach Olivier Foucart gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Gistel Oostende moved-up to thirteenth place. Waregem lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with six games lost. They share it with Gembo BBC and Oxaco. Gistel Oostende will play against higher ranked Ninane (#10) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Waregem will play against the league's leader Gent Hawks (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
The game in Brussels was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Gembo BBC (15-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Royal Brussels (9-12). Gembo BBC defeated Royal Brussels 94-78 on Sunday. Eli Van-Aken fired 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Estime Vangu produced 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Gembo BBC moved-up to second place, which they share with Waregem and Oxaco. Newly promoted Royal Brussels keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Melsele and Giants B. Soba's next round opponent will be higher ranked Oxaco (#3) in Boechout and it may be quite challenging game. Giants B will play on the road against Royal Brussels (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Fourteenth-ranked Ekeren (5-15) gave a tough game to ninth ranked Melsele (9-12) on Sunday. Melsele managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected much easier game. Patrick Hilliman had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Melsele moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Giants B and Royal Brussels.
