The Regular Season in Top Division Women is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Braine. Top-ranked Castors Braine faced 3rd ranked Belfius Namur. Host Castors Braine (20-0) smashed guests from Namur (14-6) 77-31. The game without a history. Castors Braine led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Belfius Namur to just 2 points in fourth quarter and to 14 points in first half. Castors Braine held Belfius Namur to an opponent 22.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Castors Braine forced 23 Belfius Namur turnovers. The best player for the winners was Russian-American forward Annie Tarakchian (182-94, college: Princeton, agency: LBM Management) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Antonia Delaere (180-94) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. International center Kyara Linskens (189-96, agency: LBM Management) produced 7 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Undefeated Castors Braine have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-0 record. Belfius Namur at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Sint Katelijne. Castors Braine are looking forward to face Houthalen (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Belfius Namur will play against Sint Kateline Waver (#4) in Sint Katelijne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Laarne. Ninth ranked Jeugd Gentson (5-14) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Laarne (4-14) 62-61 in the game for the eighth place. Power forward Lien Lentacker (182-90) saved the victory by scoring 9 points and 14 rebounds. Evi Heyse contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Anne-Sophie Strubbe (184-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for Laarne. Laarne's coach Nathalie Ingelbrecht tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jeugd Gentson moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Laarne dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Jeugd Gentson will play against league's second-placed Declercq Stortbeton in Waregem in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Laarne will play at home against Tulikivi (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Waregem. Local Declercq Stortbeton (15-3) outscored 11th ranked KB D-Glas (3-16) 105-48 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Lore Devos who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Declercq Stortbeton's coach Jan Callewaert felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Delphine De-Cock responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Declercq Stortbeton have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-3 record having seven points less than leader Castors Braine. KB D-Glas lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Declercq Stortbeton will meet at home Jeugd Gentson (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. KB D-Glas will play against R.Spirou Monceau in Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 20 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Houthalen was defeated by Deerlijk in a road game 73-55. Sint Katelijne smashed Liege at home 81-54. Houthalen was destroyed by Belfius Namur on the opponent's court 80-48. Kangoeroes managed to outperform Spirou Monceau in a home game 77-61.
The best stats of 20th round was 21 points and 13 rebounds by Sofie Hendrickx of Belfius Namur.

Deerlijk - Houthalen 73-55

There was no surprise in Deerlijk where 10th ranked Houthalen (4-15) was defeated by seventh ranked Tulikivi (8-11) 73-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tulikivi. Houthalen managed to win fourth quarter 13-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Houthalen to just 6 points in third quarter. Tulikivi dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Houthalen's 18. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Lisa Foucart (170-92) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Nele Poffyn (173-91) who added 15 points and 4 steals during the contest. Tulikivi's coach Benny Mertens used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Jaleesa Maes (188-92) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and guard Fran Lemmens (165-96) scored 13 points. Tulikivi maintains seventh position with 8-11 record. Houthalen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 15 games lost. Tulikivi will meet Laarne (#9) on the road in the next round. Houthalen will play against the league's leader Castors Braine and will have a slim chance for a victory.

The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Sint Kateline Waver (5-1) on the court of top-ranked Castors Braine on Saturday night.
