We bring you last week's top performances from Belgians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Kim Mestdagh
Kim Mestdagh
#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Kim Mestdagh (179-90, college: Colorado St., currently plays in France). She led Flammes to a victory over the league outsider Angers (3-18) 78-62 in the French LFB in Saturday night's game. Mestdagh was MVP of the game. She scored 16 points and had 3 steals in 27 minutes on the court. Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes (16-5) is placed second in the LFB. Mestdagh's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Mestdagh has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.6apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 52.7%, 3FGP: 40.2% and FT: 81.0% in 18 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Belgian senior national team.

Hind Ben Abdelkader
Hind Ben Abdelkader
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Hind Ben Abdelkader (172-95, college: California, currently plays in Poland). Ben Abdelkader could not help Wisla Can-Pack (18-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her very good performance Wisla Can-Pack was defeated 66-61 at home by the lower-ranked AZS UMCS (#7). Ben Abdelkader was the top scorer with 20 points. She also added 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws). This season Ben Abdelkader has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.4apg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 46.2%(55-119) and FT: 86.6%. She is in the roster of the Belgian senior national team.

Julie Vanloo
Julie Vanloo
#3. The Belgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Julie Vanloo (172-93, currently plays in Italy). Vanloo was the major contributor in Ragusa's victory against the closely-ranked Vigarano (6-15) 71-61 in the Italian Serie A1 on Sunday night. She scored 16 points and added 3 assists in 31 minutes. Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa (13-7) is placed fifth in the Serie A1. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Vanloo has reliable stats this year: 10.7ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.5apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 46.6% and FT: 86.5% in 19 games. She is also a member of the Belgian senior national team.

Ann Wauters
Ann Wauters
#4. An experienced center Ann Wauters (194-80, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Mersin MBK (5-16) crushing them 80-53 in the Turkish KBSL in Wednesday night's game. Wauters scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Abdullah Gul University Kayseri (15-5) is placed third in the KBSL. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Wauters' stats this season are: 12.0ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.3apg. She is also Belgian national team player.

Emmanuella Mayombo
Emmanuella Mayombo
#5. International shooting guard Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Gruner Stern Keltern in their game against Herner TC (12-10) in the German DBBL. Mayombo recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 24 minutes. Gruner Stern Keltern was crushed 76-49 on the road by the lower-ranked (#5) Herner TC. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. It's Mayombo's first season with the team. Her stats this year are: 12.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg in 21 games. Mayombo plays currently for the Belgian national team.

Hanne Mestdagh

Despite her good performance Eisvogel Freiburg was defeated 79-69 on the opponent's court by the league outsider Rotenburg/Scheessel (#12). Mestdagh was the second best scorer with 12 points.
