Waregem coasted past Houthalen to take the lead. The game without a history. Waregem led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.3 percent from the field. Waregem forced 23 Houthalen turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Point guard Arne Steinbach (180-92, agency: Court Side) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and forward Robbe Naudts (198-90) chipped in 18 points. Five Waregem players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Bart Maesen (198-89) responded with 17 points and point guard Chiel Koonings (180-90) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Soba upset Gembo BBC on the road in the opener. Gembo BBC was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Soba, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Gembo BBC 52-39 including 38 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Dries Bogaerts (200-86) who helped to win the game recording 7 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Mitchel Gorremans (191-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Pieter Van-Rillaer (198-81) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward Sam Renier (187-92) added 14 points in the effort for Gembo BBC.

Gent Hawks - Royal Brussels 83-60

Gent Hawks held off Royal Brussels to surge ahead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Gent Hawks. Royal Brussels managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gent Hawks dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Royal Brussels' 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Royal Brussels' players. Forward Joeri Vermoessen (200-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Laurent Lhote (182-84) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Five Gent Hawks players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Rochdi Benzouien (184-96, agency: Promotex) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Adam Hall (198-80, college: Virginia) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds.

Oxaco toppled Giants B to surge ahead in the series. Giants B was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 28-14 charge of Oxaco, which allowed them to win the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Giants B helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Nick Celis (196-88) fired 28 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Sam Van-Hoey (190-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Oxaco's coach Tony van den Bosch used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Bert Van-Den-Broek (201-92) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Philippe Peeters (188-95) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Five Oxaco and four Giants B players scored in double figures.
