We bring you last week's top performances from Belgians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Russia). She contributed to an UMMC Ekaterinburg's victory against the league leader Dynamo Kursk (19-1) 67-56 in the Russian PBL in Sunday night's game. Meesseman recorded 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 34 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. UMMC Ekaterinburg (19-1) is placed second in the PBL. Meesseman has relatively good stats this year: 11.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.9apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 56.6%(86-152), 3FGP: 34.8% in 20 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Belgian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: ProDep Management, currently plays in Turkey). Wauters could not help Abdullah Gul (19-7) in their last game on Monday. Despite her very good performance Abdullah Gul was edged 65-62 on the road by the second-ranked Besiktas. Wauters was the second best scorer with 16 points. She also added 6 rebounds. It's Wauters' first season with the team. This year Wauters has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 56.6%(142-251) and FT: 86.0%. She is in the roster of the Belgian senior national team.

   #3. The Belgian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Hind Ben Abdelkader (172-95, college: California, currently plays in Poland). Ben Abdelkader was the major contributor in a Wisla Can-Pack's victory against the league leader Sleza Wroclaw (18-4) 64-56 in the Polish TBLK on Sunday night. She recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in 39 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. TS Wisla Can-Pack Krakow (18-4) is placed second in the TBLK. Ben Abdelkader has reliable stats this year: 12.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.4apg, 2FGP: 52.9% and FT: 86.5% in 36 games. She is also a member of the Belgian senior national team.

Shooting guard Emmanuella Mayombo (170-92, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Gruner Stern Keltern (18-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Mayombo's very good performance Gruner Stern Keltern was defeated 78-66 in Wasserburg by the leading TSV 1880. She was the top scorer with 17 points. Mayombo also added 4 rebounds. Mayombo's stats this season are: 13.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg. She is also Belgian national team player.

International shooting guard Kim Mestdagh (179-90, another player represented by ProDep Management, college: Colorado St., currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Flammes (17-5) in their game against Villeneuve D'Ascq (16-6) in the French LFB. Mestdagh recorded 6 points and had 3 steals in 27 minutes. The third-placed Flammes (17-5) was edged 63-61 at home by the lower-ranked (#7) Villeneuve D'Ascq in the Play-Off group. This year Mestdagh's overall stats are: 9.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.4apg and 2.0spg in 23 games. She plays currently for the Belgian national team.

   #6. Swingman Romina Ciappina (178-88, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Germany) is a teammate of previously mentioned Emmanuella Mayombo. But that was another game of her team in German DBBL which we would like to mention. Ciappina couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Gruner Stern Keltern (18-4) in their last game on Sunday. Despite her good performance Gruner Stern Keltern was edged 68-65 in Wasserburg by the leading TSV 1880. Ciappina was the second best scorer with 12 points. She also added 3 passes. This season Ciappina averages: 4.4ppg and 1.1rpg. She is a former international player as she played for the Belgian senior team two years ago.

   #7. International point guard Julie Vanloo (172-93, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Ragusa (15-7) in their game against Familia Schio (18-4) in the Italian Serie A1. Vanloo recorded 6 points in 28 minutes. Ragusa lost 54-65 on their home court in Ragusa to the second-ranked Familia Schio. Vanloo's stats this year are: 10.1ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.8apg and 1.4spg in 26 games. She is also Belgian national team player.
