There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Top Division I.

Soba edged Ninane in Antwerpen 82-79. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-22. But Ninane won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Soba won last quarter 17-16. The best player for the winners was swingman Mitchel Gorremans (191-85) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Anthony Goetgeluck (182-92) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Xavier Colette (185-85) produced 21 points for the guests. Ninane will play next round against Houthalen trying to get back on the winning streak. Soba will try to continue on its current victory against Spirou B on the road.
Oxaco (0-1) recorded a loss on the court of Ieper. Visitors were rolled over by Ieper 81-62. Point guard Kjell Devacht (185-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Alexander Schepens contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Nick Celis (196-88) replied with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Oxaco. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ieper will play against Gembo BBC (#10) in Borgerhout in the next round where they are favorite. Oxaco will play at home against Gent Hawks to get more than just one victory in their record.
An interesting game where Spirou B (#4) beat host Gent Hawks (#1) 93-84 on Saturday evening. Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz scored 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners. Spirou B's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Laurent Lhote responded with 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Spirou B will meet at home Soba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gent Hawks will play against Oxaco in Boechout and hope to win that game.
The game in Borgerhout was also worth to mention about. Waregem (2-0) played at the court of Gembo BBC (0-1). Waregem defeated Gembo BBC 83-70. Aaron Van Vooren notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Waregem's next round opponent will be Royal Brussels (#13) at home which should be an easy win for them. Gembo BBC will play against Ieper and hope to win that game.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Brussels, where Royal Brussels (0-1) lost at home to Neufchateau (1-1) 70-86 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Alexis Pierre who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Neufchateau will face Gistel Oostende (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Royal Brussels will play against Waregem in Waregem and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 2 winless Houthalen were defeated by Melsele in a road game 92-83.
The best stats of 2nd round was 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Alex Tuluka-Mfumupembe of Royal Brussels.

Ieper - Oxaco 81-62

Oxaco (0-1) recorded a loss on the court of Ieper. Visitors were rolled over by Ieper 81-62. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Oxaco's players. Oxaco was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Kjell Devacht (185-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Alexander Schepens (191-93) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Ieper players scored in double figures. Guard Nick Celis (196-88) replied with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Mark De-Meyer (194-88) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Oxaco. Melsele used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Houthalen 92-83 on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Houthalen won fourth quarter 25-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Houthalen 42-29 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Ivan Perez (185-90) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Thomas Lamot (190-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Melsele players scored in double figures. Forward Bart Maesen (198-89) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Chiel Koonings (180-90) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Houthalen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Melsele will face Giants B (#9) in Antwerp in the next round where they are favorite. Houthalen will play on the road against Ninane (#5) and hope to win that game.

The game in Borgerhout was also worth to mention about. Waregem (2-0) played at the court of Gembo BBC (0-1). Waregem defeated Gembo BBC 83-70. The game was mostly controlled by Waregem. Gembo BBC was better in third quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Gembo BBC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Aaron Van Vooren (200-94) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Brecht Guillemyn (192-87) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Waregem players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by center Anthony Vermeersch (202-90) did not help to save the game for Gembo BBC. Guard Tomas Goethaert (183-83) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Gent Hawks trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 29-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-93 at the end of the game. Spirou B shot 68.1 percent from the field and made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Naturalized Cuban point guard Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz (185-97) scored 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian Haris Delalic (202-94, agency: AproK Sports Group) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Spirou B's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Top Division I round 7 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Soba (5-2) against tenth ranked Ieper (3-3) 83-66 was the most important game of the last round.
