Jana Raman
After 3 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Top Division Women and who belongs to weaker ones.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Tulikivi (1-1) in Deerlijk on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by B.Willebroek (2-0) 65-60. B.Willebroek is looking forward to face Sint Kateline Waver in Sint Katelijne in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tulikivi will play at home against Castors Braine (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Kangoeroes (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed Belfius Namur (1-2) in Boom 83-62. It was a quality performance for the former international Jana Raman (185-91) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Heleen Adams accounted for 22 points. Spanish point guard Mariona Ortiz (183-92) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds for Belfius Namur in the defeat. Belfius Namur's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kangoeroes will play against Jeugd Gentson (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Belfius Namur will play against Verviers-Pep. to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Charleroi supposed to be also quite interesting. Castors Braine (2-0) played at the court of R.Spirou Monceau (1-2). Castors Braine smashed R.Spirou Monceau 91-43 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Olesia Malashenko who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Sarah Deneil who recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Castors Braine will meet Tulikivi (#6) in the next round. R.Spirou Monceau will play against Liege and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in Waregem. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Jeugd Gentson (0-2) to Declercq Stortbeton (2-1) 64-62 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for Jackie Nared who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds. Jeugd Gentson's coach Wesley Wauters rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Declercq Stortbeton's next round opponent will be Laarne (#11) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Jeugd Gentson will play against Kangoeroes and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last two games of round 3 winless Laarne lost to undefeated Sint Katelijne on the opponent's court 57-93. Winless Verviers-Pep. was outscored by Liege in a home game 56-77.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 39 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by Laure Resimont of Sint Katelijne.

Sint Katelijne - Laarne 93-57

Very expected game in Sint Katelijne where Laarne (0-3) was crushed by Sint Kateline Waver (3-0) 93-57. It looked good early as Laarne took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sint Kateline Waver had a 25-13 second period charge getting the lead and Laarne was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-93. Sint Kateline Waver made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while Laarne only scored four points from the stripe. Spanish guard Victoria Vine (173-95, college: Eckerd) answered with 21 points and swingman Bieke Vanrenterghem (175-86) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Laarne. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sint Kateline Waver's next round opponent will be B.Willebroek (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Laarne will play against Declercq Stortbeton (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
