KK KAKANJ WINS IN SARAJEVO 79-63 OVER KK SPARS EARNS PROMOTION TO D1! - May 17, 2012

KK KAKANJ WINS IN SARAJEVO 79-63 OVER KK SPARS EARNS PROMOTION TO D1!
KK Kakanj won in decisive fashion beating upstart KK Spars in game two of the finals winning on Spars home court and sweeping the series 2-0. Kakanj was more poised and professional under pressure in the finals and responded like a champion that wanted it more.
Only 300 spectators turned out on their home court, hardly the home court advantage Spars was hoping for to help get them over the top. Kakanj went 19-1 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs proving they were the best team in D2 this season and earning their promotion.
Jakup Genjac proved his worth as a coach in the finals outmatching Marko Trbic in both games in the finals and proving himself to be one of the better young coaches in Bosnia in the process this season.
KK Kakanj will have to reinforce their roster before next season if they hope to stay in D1 for longer than one season.
KK Spars will continue to work to be the best run, organized team in Sarajevo and in the process win the hearts of the basketball loving fans in the city.
