Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bosnia and Herzegovina players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former U18 international center Marica Gajic (192-95). She led Athlete Celje to a victory over the fourth-ranked Ilrija (16-12) 66-57 in the Slovenian SKL in Tuesday night's game. Gajic was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 21 rebounds. Gajic also added 2 blocks in 27 minutes on the court. ZKK Athlete Celje (27-1) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. It was her team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. It's Gajic's first season with the team. Gajic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #2 with 10.4rpg. She also averaged so far 8.0ppg, 1.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 16.7% and FT: 77.5% in the 21 games she played so far. Gajic played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Amra Mehmedic (177-81). She was the major contributor in a Satu Mare's victory against the second-ranked ICIM Arad (27-3) 68-58 in the Romanian D1 last Wednesday. Mehmedic scored 14 points and added 3 passes. CSM Satu Mare (22-8) is placed sixth in the D1. Mehmedic is ranked first on the list of the best passers in the league. She has very reliable stats this season: 10.4ppg, 3.5rpg, 5.2apg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 49.4%, 3FGP: 33.6% and FT: 77.4%. Mehmedic is in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Selma Delibasic (194-80), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division). She could not help Consum.it Siena (6-20) in their last game. Despite Delibasic's good performance the 12th-placed Consum.it Siena was edged 57-54 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) C.U.S. Chieti in the South group. She was the top scorer with 13 points in only a mere 1 minutes. It was Consum.it Siena's seventh consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Delibasic has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 45.3%, 3FGP: 25.0% and FT: 74.4% in the 25 games. She is also a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #4. Guard Dzenita Novi (180-93) was not able to help AJM Maribor (17-11) in their game against Triglav (24-4) in the Slovenian SKL. Novi scored only 4 points. AJM Maribor (#3) was edged 64-62 at home by the second-ranked Triglav in the Places 1-6 group. This season Novi averages: 9.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.4spg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team back in 2010.

28 years ago, "Jedinstvo Aida" (Tuzla) won European Champions' Cup ( i.e. today's Euroleague). "Jedinstvo Aida" won Europe's most prestigious women's basketball trophy by beating "Primigi" Vicenza of Italy 74:70 (37:35) in the Champions' Cup final in Florence on March 22, 1989. Play Off (15-1) recorded its first loss in Zenica on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Celik (14-2) 90-89. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Play Off.
