Marica Gajic
Marica Gajic (192-C-95) finished her first season abroad and it was a very successful one. The Bosnian center and her team Athlete Celje managed to win the Slovenian championship title and Cup. They outplayed Triglav 71-56 in Game Three of the SKL Finals closing the series with perfect 3-0. Gajic helped Celje with 10 points and 8 rebounds in this meeting. Earlier this season Celje was better than Triglav 89-67 in the Cup Final. Marica Gajic joined Celje last summer. She played 24 games in SKL averaging 8.3 points and 10.3 rebounds. Her numbers in Adriatic league (MZRKL) dropped to 5.9 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Before Athlete Celje, Marica Gajic spent one season with RMU Banovici. She shined with 16 ppg, 10.4 prg and 3.6 spg for 16 games in Bosnian D1. She was named Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Honorable Mention -11. In the past, Gajic played for the Bosnian U18 and U16 National Teams.   



Aleksandra Begenisic moves to Spain - 13 hours ago

One of the best Bosnian centers, Aleksandra Begenisic (194-C-89) has signed contract with Spanish club "Ensino" from Lugo. Begenisic started the season at ZKK "Zeljeznicar", Sarajevo (Bosnia D1) as one of key players recording a double-double (25 pts, 12 rebs) in one of three games while in Bosnia. Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bosnia and Herzegovina players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas). She led Socinsa Bembibre to a victory over the 11th-ranked Campus Promete in the Spanish LFB in Sunday night's game.    [read more]
