Jusuf Nurkic
Today started the U18 EC B Division in Sarajevo and there have been some very interesting fixtures. England defeated surprisingly Israel which is considered to be one of the top favourites for the promotion to A division. Despite having in its rows with Zalmanson and Koulechov two players who recorded double-doubles Israel lost quite clearly against the physically superior English team led by Nelson and Unicaja prospect Okoroh.

Sweden rolled over Norway with a stunning 110-55. Sweden that has played also the AST in Germany didn t want to show its assets and their star Bergng played only five minutes.
Lfgren and Larsson scored 20 points each completely outclassing their neighbour country.

In the Bosnian D group Romania defeated Belarus 71-62 in a quite tough game that has been decided in the last two minutes.

BIH will challenge Belgium which is considered to be the best team in Sarajevo. It is a tough task for the boys of Nenad Markovic who had to cope with the absence of Emir Sulejmanovic who has not been set free by Finland. Some players like Jusuf Nurkic (212-C-94), Marko Rikalo (188-PG-94) and Nikola Marijan (208-C-95) have been injured and missed most of the preparations.
The team has size and talent but like most of the Bosnian youth selections the team had only a few friendlies which might be a serious problem.
However Nenad Markovic is optimistic and believes in his team and backed by the Bosnian fans he might make it in the next stage.
Belgium plays a great transition basketball with a very agressive perimeter defense and for sure its main weapons are Emmanuel Lecomte and Gijbels.

Regardless the result KSBIH has made tremendous steps ahead regarding scouting, recruitment and organisation and there is no doubt that all NT will become stronger and stronger over the next fcouple of years.

Bosnians in the NBA this season! Recap! - 18 hours ago
Bosnians in the NBA this season! Recap! Dragan Bender: Dragan struggled in his adjustment to the NBA. The physical aspect, the travel, the games and even the rules changes all proved vexing to him during the season. It's not easy being a teenager in the NBA and Dragan is still only 19 and won't turn 20 until after the next season begins. They limited his exposure in games and minutes on the floor, they obviously didn't think extended game exposure would be that beneficial to him at this...   [read more]
