It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in Division I, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders.

The biggest surprise of round 3 was guest Mladost's (2-1) road victory over 4th placed Leotar (1-2) 84-82 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Mladost forced 20 Leotar turnovers. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin power forward Igor Bijelic (207-88) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin power forward Ranko Velimirovic (205-72, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin point guard Zoran Kascelan (188-86) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Mladost moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Leotar at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Mladost is looking forward to face Vogosca (#11) in Sarajevo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leotar will play on the road against Servitium (#10) in Gradiska and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Bijeljina. Second ranked Radnik B. (2-1) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Bosna ASA BHT (1-2) 77-76 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for Montenegrin power forward Filip Goranovic (205-85) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Vedran Borovcanin contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Radnik B.'s coach Predrag Jacimovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. International point guard Armin Avdibegovic (188-84) answered with 18 points for Bosna ASA BHT. Newly promoted Radnik B. maintains second place with 2-1 record behind leader Capljina, which they share with 3 other teams. Bosna ASA BHT at the other side keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Radnik B. will play against bottom-ranked Zrinjski HT (#12) in Mostar in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bosna ASA BHT will play at home against Kakanj (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Capljina Lasta have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record. Loser Zrinjski HT dropped to the bottom position with two games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Capljina Lasta will meet at home Borac Nektar (#4) in the next round. Zrinjski HT will play against Radnik B. (#3) in Bijeljina.

Vogosca at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Varda HE's next round opponent will be Posusje (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Vogosca will play against the league's second-placed Mladost in Mrkonjic Grad.

In the last two games of round 3 Servitium was defeated by Borac Nektar in Banja Luka 71-63. Bottom-ranked Posusje smashed Kakanj at home 90-55.
The best stats of 3rd round was 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by Milos Trikic of Borac Nektar.



Borac Nektar - Servitium 71-63

Everything could happen in Banja Luka at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Borac Nektar and 7th ranked Servitium had identical 1-1 record. This time Borac Nektar used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Gradiska 71-63. The hosts were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-13 Servitium's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 71-63 at the end of the game. Borac Nektar forced 19 Servitium turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Milos Trikic (203-90) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. point guard Ranko Ivic (193-92) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Guard Nebojsa Maksimovic (180-92) came up with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian guard Milos Tripkovic (197-91, agency: Beo Basket) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Servitium in the defeat. Four Servitium players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Borac Nektar (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Servitium at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Borac Nektar's next round opponent will be league's leader Capljina Lasta on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Servitium will play against Leotar (#8) in Trebinje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Posusje - Kakanj 90-55

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Posusje (1-2) smashed at home higher ranked Kakanj (1-2) 90-55. The game without a history. Posusje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kakanj's 26. Posusje forced 28 Kakanj turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kakanj's players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Ivan Begic (194-92) who led the winners and scored 25 points. Croatian guard Ivan Bakovic (197-81) accounted for 17 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Power forward Narcis Begovac (204-79) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Sead Hadzifejzovic (202-89) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Kakanj in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Posusje left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Kakanj. Posusje's next round opponent will be higher ranked Varda HE (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Undefeated leader Capljina Lasta delivered the third consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Zrinjski HT (1-2) 63-58 in Mostar. Zrinjski HT was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 21-11 charge of Capljina Lasta, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Serbian guard Krsto Bjelica (192-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Serbian guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-85) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. Four Capljina Lasta players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin center Boris Lalovic (209-81) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Ermin Jazvin (209-80) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. The game with biggest result difference took place in Sarajevo. Local Vogosca (1-2) lost to third ranked Varda HE (2-1) 93-75. The guests were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 32-11 run, which allowed them to win the game.
