5 THOUGHTS ON BOSNIAN BASKETBALL SO FAR!
1.Igokea has been the best team from BiH in Europe this season, by far. Coach Dragan Bajic has done a masterful job coaching the team so far to the top of the Adriatic League at 10-2. The front office did a great job assembling the team and spending the resources wisely. The team is talented and deep and the import players are professional and committed. Its no guarantee to win the Adriatic League finals this year but it has been a great start for the team so far. The teams roster goes 12 deep in talented players and that always helps.
2.Siroki misses Jakov Vladovic, a lot. Siroki is still a talented team and Darko Planinic has been playing excellent basketball. The teams still has a lot of front court depth and talent but has struggled to run offense and get the players on the court easy shots. Josip Naletilic is a decent defender but a poor passer and struggles to score. The team has less depth after losing some players last season and it appears the team wont be making Adriatic League playoffs this season.
3.Armin Hot has been the most exciting player in BiH since Mirza Teletovic! Armin has been playing in Bosnia for a few years. Well, actually he was glued to the bench with one time powerhouse KK BOSNA who didnt ever feel the need to give him a chance to play on their court. He finally moved onto Vogosca and has been a revelation this season scoring, rebounding, passing and defending like few others in BiH. Armin is a good athlete and a skilled player who has been a revelation so far and a lot of fun to watch. The question is will he and Mujo Tuljkovic be enough to keep Vogosca away from relegation this season?
4.KK BOSNA has been awful, again. The onetime champions of Europe have hit the skids the last few years. First getting booted from Adriatic League, and then falling to 2-10 in the second round of the KSBiH regular season. This season it has gotten even worse as they have fallen to middle of the pack of teams in Bosnia. They have made mistakes after mistake in personal decisions and have mismanaged the teams funding and have had stadium issues as well. It is hard to believe this team was once one of the great Europeans teams. The team lacks leadership, vision, talent, funding and coaching. Other than that the team is doing great. The team is going nowhere this season, yet still refuse to play young players after previously letting Cedi Osman and Armin Hot go for nothing.
5.The most talented players in BiH play in division 2. KK SPARS is the most compelling team in Bosnia with their young roster of Adin Vrabac, Nedim Buza, Doko Salic, Aleksej Nikolic, Doko Salic, Stefan Glogovac, Mirza Bulic, Alija Piric all are some of the biggest prospects in Europe and all of them play in D2 BiH. The team has even more talent on some of the lower levels of the team. It has been quite impressive to watch the team assemble so much young talent. It will be interesting to see if they make it all the way to D1 next season.

Igokea keeps Sibalic for another season - May 24, 2016

BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Division I) re-signed 28-year old Serbian forward Danilo Sibalic (204-103kg-88, agency: Beo Basket). He played there last season. In 15 Division I games he recorded 9.9ppg and 4.6rpg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Sibalic also played at Smederevo (KLS) in Serbian league that season. Sead Galijasevic (Wasserman Media) was active in past week on Bosnian market as they signed two prospect from this country. First player they signed was Edin Atic (201-G/F-97) from Spars Sarajevo, who started this season in AEK (Greece) but he moved to Bosnian team and in this season he played 12 games with avereging 7.3 points per game and 6.7 rebounds.
