22-year old point guard Dino Hodzic (190-PG-90) had a great game in the last round for Bosna and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. He had a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Leotar (#10, 3-6) 94-82. Bosna is placed at 4th position in Bosnia and Herzegovina league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Bosna will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Hodzic had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bosna, through which he has constantly improved. Dino Hodzic averages this season 9.8ppg.
Second best performed player last round was Amin Hot (192-G-92) of Vogosca. He is Montenegrin guard in his first season at Vogosca. In the last game Hot recorded impressive 25 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course Vogosca cruised to a 80-69 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Borac Nektar (#5, 5-4). Vogosca's 11th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Hot is a newcomer at Vogosca and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 5.1rpg and 6.8apg.
Third place about best performers goes to swingman Nebojsa Erkic (197-F/G-89) of Radnik B. (#3). Erkic scored 26 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Erkic's great performance Radnik B. lost 85-93 to the lower-ranked Kakanj (#6, 4-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Radnik B. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Erkic has a great season in Bosnia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.9rpg (6th best).

Q) Who are your greatest influences on the court? A) My High school coach at Niles Notre Dame Tom West. I just finished my freshman season with the team.
Q) What are your greatest strengths on the court? A) I can shoot; dish, finish and I have range out to the three point line. I am a good athlete, I can rebound, I am strong and I like to defend.
Q) What was the highlight of your season with Niles Notre Dame? A) When we beat Bennett Academy and I defended D1 prospect Sean OMara (who is 207cm) and held him to 4 points.
Q) How do you feel about getting chosen for the BiH U16 team? A) I am very happy, it is my National Team. Even though I wasnt born in Bosnia, my family is from Sarajevo, Bosnia and I proud to play for my country.
Q) What do you know about your teammates? A) I know Nedim Dedovic, Boe Galic and a few others. We keep in contact through Facebook and we are excited about playing together. They are gathering players from all over USA, Spain, Germany and some other places and it is exciting.
Q) Do you follow any of what I call this platinum generation of young Bosnian prospects like Jusuf Nurkic, Nedim Buza, Emir Sulejmanovic, Adin Vrabac etc? A) Yes, Buza was voted the MVP of the basketball without borders camp in Moscow and he had the chance to work with Andrei Kirilenko and some others. I have a lot of friends and I am excited when they come together.
Q) What are your expectations of the U16 team this summer? A) We expect to go to Division A. We have the talent and skill to get there. We should be a good team.
Q) How do you feel the Bosnian Senior Team will do this summer at Eurobasket in Slovenia? A) I think we should do very well. With Teletovic, Dedovic and the others it is a very talented and deep team.
Q) Were do you see yourself in 10 years? A) I am getting offers from division 1 teams and I see myself finishing high school, going to college and then playing professionally somewhere.
Q) Who is your favorite basketball player of all time? A) I love this question, DRAZEN PETROVIC
Q) What is your favorite team in the NBA? A) Miami Heat.
Q) Who is your favorite NBA player of all time? A) Michael Jordan
Q) Do you follow European football? A) Yes, I am excited because I heard that USA will play Bosnia in football while I am in Sarajevo and I will go to the game. My favorite team is Real Madrid but I also like Bayern Munchen as well.

Nemanja Gordic (192-PG-88) win another title in Serbia. His Partizan won over Crvena Zvezda 68:52 in Game 4 and won the series 3-1. The last game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Zvezda managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Zvezda 46-22 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 31 personal fouls committed by Zvezda helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities [read more]

The former international guard Igor Rakocevic replied with 10 points and DeMarcus Nelson added 12 points in the effort for Zvezda. Nemanja Gordic averaged 6.3 points per game in Serbia.

Meho Haracic who has caused some waves in BIH is also not included in the roster despite Harun Mahmutovic has clearly pointed out that Haracic will play for BIH and that he would inform FIBA if he refuses to. However there are informations that Haracic will play for Quatar the FIBA Asia U16 championship..
