Bosnias representation at the 2013 Ciutat de L'Hospitalet Junior Tournament!
The NIJT tournament in Rome was dominated by Bosnian team KK SPARS who thrashed Fenerbache in the final by 18 points. They also had the tournament MVP in Doko Salic and three all tournament members in Nedim Buza, Aleksej Nikolic and Doko Salic. The teams dominating performance guaranteed them a spot at the NIJT finals.
Even though KK SPARS wont be playing in this leg of the tournament it wont prevent Bosnia from being well represented. These players with ties to Bosnia will be represented as well.

Adnan (Omeragic) Alic: Alic represented Spain last summer but there have been some rumblings he may want to return to BiH and play for his native Bosnia. This would be a major coupe because he has a lot of talent and Spain has high hopes for his future. Alic is a skilled defender with good athleticism and a good all-around game.

Tarik Cerik: Tarik is a good athlete who is raw. It will be interesting to see how he responds to his first international action. Tarik may develop into a quality player in the future.

Aleksandar Lazic: High hopes for what Aleksandar can become, he is an excellent athlete and a highly skilled player. The skies the limit for him and he should be a leader of this team. Theres nothing he cant do, shoot, rebound, block shots, pass etc. He is a player to watch and it will be interesting to see how much freedom he is given to operate.

Emir Sulejmanovic: Often compared to Ersan Illyasova for his length, tenacity and versatility. Only time will tell if Emir becomes such a high functioning player eventually but there is no doubt he has the skill to be a very good player in the future.

Bosnian Prospects where are they now? - 2 hours ago
Bosnian Prospects where are they now? Adnan Omeragic: Once a top prospect in Spain the 201cm forward is still fairly young having turned 20 in August. He has struggled with development and injuries the last few seasons and has become an afterthought for both BiH and the Spanish National Team. He's playing for Nautico KIA Tenerife this season in the Spanish EBA. His stats so far this season in 13 games are 14mpg 6.6ppg 2.2rbpg .8stls while shooting 48.9% from two, 45% from three and 72.2...   [read more]

Ylli lands Kevin Brown, ex Siroki Primorka - 3 hours ago
Golden Eagle Ylli (SuperLeague) tabbed 25-year old American guard Kevin Brown (190-88kg-92, college: New Orleans). He spent his 2-year professional career in Bosnia. He started the season at Siroki Primorka in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. In 9 games he averaged 10.2ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg this season. The last season Brown played at Zrinjski (also in Division I) where in 23 games he had 9.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg. He can count that season as a very successful as was se...   [read more]

Nenad Vukovic inks with Gradjanski - 1 day ago
Nenad Vukovic (188-PG-94) inks with KK Gradjanski Bobar Osiguranje Bijeljina for the rest of the season. KK Gradjanski Bobar Osiguranje Bijeljina has parted ways with Milijan Bocka (185-PG-82) and signed Nenad Vukovic as the starting point guard. He managed to play for three clubs in this season, started with KK Mladost Mrkonjic Grad after which he moved to Montenegro, and in December signed with KK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje. With Mladost he averaged 17.4pts and 3.7apg in 7 games, while play...   [read more]
