Round 12 in Division I means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Sarajevo where host Bosna ASA BHT (9-3) crushed league's leader Capljina Lasta (9-3) 94-72 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Capljina Lasta. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Bosna ASA BHT led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bosna ASA BHT outrebounded Capljina Lasta 35-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Alin Demic (202-91) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Ramo Rizvic (200-87) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin center Novak Popovic (207-81) who recorded 20 points. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Capljina and Mladost. Capljina Lasta will play next round against strong Radnik B. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bosna ASA BHT will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Posusje on the road.
Bottom-ranked Servitium managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time they edged fourth-ranked Radnik B. in Gradiska 67-66. It was a good game for Srdan Golubovic (198-87) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Servitium will play against higher ranked Zrinjski HT (#7) in Mostar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Radnik B. will play at home against the league's second-placed Capljina Lasta where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Varda, where higher ranked Borac Nektar (6-6) lost to ninth ranked Varda HE (5-7) in a road game 53-71 on Saturday.
