Strawberry (196-G-85, college: Maryland) and Andrija Zizic (207-C-80, agency: Beo Basket) teamed up for 48 points to help Cibona earn a tough road win over Siroki WWin in the Adriatic League championship. The win allowed the Croatian team climb at 7-12 record in the ladder. Siroki WWin snatched a 21:20 lead ten minutes into the encounter. Cibona turned things around in the second quarter. The Croats went on a 20:15 rally to take a 41:37 halftime advantage. Siroki WWin bounced back in the third term. The hosts picked up the tempo and exploded with 28 points in the quarter to ensure a one-point advantage heading into the fourth period. Siroki WWin seemed to be en route to a comfortable win as they led 78:68 midway through the fourth frame. But Cibona answered with a 10:0 run to level things up at 78. Johnathon Jones put the hosts in front but the visitors followed with 11 points in a row to seal the victory. Davor Kus (192-G-78, agency: Interperformances) produced 15 points for Cibona. Ivan Ramljak (203-SF-90) netted 22 points for Siroki WWin. Zeljko Sakic (204-F-88, agency: Beo Basket) had 21 points in the loss.

Q) How did you get your start in basketball? A) I started in 6th grade, before that I did karate. I play for Niles Notre Dame and also the Chi-Town Diablos.
Q) Who are your greatest influences on the court? A) My High school coach at Niles Notre Dame Tom West. I just finished my freshman season with the team.
Q) What are your greatest strengths on the court? A) I can shoot; dish, finish and I have range out to the three point line. I am a good athlete, I can rebound, I am strong and I like to defend.
Q) What was the highlight of your season with Niles Notre Dame? A) When we beat Bennett Academy and I defended D1 prospect Sean OMara (who is 207cm) and held him to 4 points.
Q) How do you feel about getting chosen for the BiH U16 team? A) I am very happy, it is my National Team. Even though I wasnt born in Bosnia, my family is from Sarajevo, Bosnia and I proud to play for my country.
Q) What do you know about your teammates? A) I know Nedim Dedovic, Boe Galic and a few others. We keep in contact through Facebook and we are excited about playing together. They are gathering players from all over USA, Spain, Germany and some other places and it is exciting.
Q) Do you follow any of what I call this platinum generation of young Bosnian prospects like Jusuf Nurkic, Nedim Buza, Emir Sulejmanovic, Adin Vrabac etc? A) Yes, Buza was voted the MVP of the basketball without borders camp in Moscow and he had the chance to work with Andrei Kirilenko and some others. I have a lot of friends and I am excited when they come together.
Q) What are your expectations of the U16 team this summer? A) We expect to go to Division A. We have the talent and skill to get there. We should be a good team.
Q) How do you feel the Bosnian Senior Team will do this summer at Eurobasket in Slovenia? A) I think we should do very well. With Teletovic, Dedovic and the others it is a very talented and deep team.
Q) Were do you see yourself in 10 years? A) I am getting offers from division 1 teams and I see myself finishing high school, going to college and then playing professionally somewhere.
Q) Who is your favorite basketball player of all time? A) I love this question, DRAZEN PETROVIC
Q) What is your favorite team in the NBA? A) Miami Heat.
Q) Who is your favorite NBA player of all time? A) Michael Jordan
Q) Do you follow European football? A) Yes, I am excited because I heard that USA will play Bosnia in football while I am in Sarajevo and I will go to the game. My favorite team is Real Madrid but I also like Bayern Munchen as well.

Nemanja Gordic (192-PG-88) win another title in Serbia. His Partizan won over Crvena Zvezda 68:52 in Game 4 and won the series 3-1. The last game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Zvezda managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Zvezda 46-22 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 31 personal fouls committed by Zvezda helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities [read more]

Worth to mention a great performance of French forward Joffrey Lauvergne who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Dragan Milosavljevic contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Partizan players scored in double figures. The former international guard Igor Rakocevic replied with 10 points and DeMarcus Nelson added 12 points in the effort for Zvezda. Nemanja Gordic averaged 6.3 points per game in Serbia.
