   #1. This week's number one is former U18 international center Marica Gajic (187-95, currently plays in Slovenia). She led Athlete Celje to a victory over one of league's weakest teams GVT Konjice (3-10) crushing them 86-66 in the Slovenian SKL in Saturday night's game. Gajic was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting the same number of rebounds in 32 minutes on the court. ZKK Athlete Celje (12-1) is placed first in the SKL. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Gajic has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 21.5ppg, 15.5rpg, 2.0apg, 2.5spg, 2FGP: 53.1% and FT: 81.8% in the two games she played so far. Gajic played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U18 international forward Ana Niksic (181-91, currently plays in Serbia). She contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Beocin (4-12) crushing them 96-61 in the Serbian A League last Saturday. Niksic recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 4 assists. Crvena Zvezda Beograd (15-1) is placed first in the A League. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Niksic is ranked third on the list of the most steals in the league. She has very reliable stats this season: 11.6ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.9apg, 2.7spg, 2FGP: 49.5%, 3FGP: 31.0%. Niksic played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team in 2008.

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was former U18 international center Nikolina Milic (195-94, currently plays in Serbia). She was the major contributor in a Radnicki KG's victory against the closely-ranked Jagodina 2001 (13-3) 76-70 in the Serbian A League on Wednesday night. Milic scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 30 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Radnicki Kragujevac (10-6) is placed third in the A League. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Milic is ranked seventh on the list of the best rebounders in the league and also on the list of best blockers (fourth place). This year she has very good stats: 13.1ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.1bpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 53.3% and FT: 54.7% in the 16 games. Milic played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team three years ago.

Center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, currently plays in Hungary) was the main contributor in Atomeromu's victory against the fourth-ranked Cegledi EKK (8-13) 82-70 in the Hungarian A Division in Friday night's game. She was the best player in that game. Svitlica recorded 25 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Atomeromu KSC Szekszard (13-5) is placed second in Places 9-14 group. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Svitlica is currently second on the list of best blockers. She has very solid stats this season: 12.0ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.2bpg. Svitlica used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team back in 2011.

Former international center Biljana Savic (191-83, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Czech Republic) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider BK Pliska Studanka (2-18) crushing them 88-54 in the Czech Republic ZBL last Sunday. She scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. Basket Slovanka MB Tabor (7-13) is placed eighth in the ZBL. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Savic has relatively good stats this year: 11.5ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.5apg in the two games. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team two years ago.

Guard Amra Mehmedic (177-81, currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to a 2-point Haskovo 2012's victory against the closely-ranked Dunav 8806 (12-4) 59-57 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Mehmedic recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Haskovo 2012 (8-8) is placed fourth in the NBL. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Mehmedic is currently fifth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (first place). This season she has very high stats. Mehmedic averages: 17.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 6.4apg and 3.2spg. She is a former international player as she played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior team two years ago.

   #7. Former international forward Lejla Bejtic (175-85, currently plays in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala could not help Sp.Studentesc (8-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Bejtic's good performance Sp.Studentesc was crushed 92-50 on the road by the second-ranked CSM Targoviste. She was the top scorer with 13 points. Bejtic also added 4 rebounds. This season Bejtic has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.0apg and 2.3spg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team two years ago.

   #8. Center Emina Demirovic (186-85, currently plays in Romania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lejla Bejtic. But that was another game of her team in Romanian Liga Nationala which we would like to mention. Demirovic contributed to Sp.Studentesc's victory against the closely-ranked Craiova (7-10) 65-53. She scored 7 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in 37 minutes. CSM Sportul Studentesc Bucuresti (8-10) is placed ninth in the Liga Nationala. It's Demirovic's first season with the team. Demirovic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #3 with 9.8rpg. This year her other stats are: 11.4ppg, 1.3apg and 1.5spg in the 17 games. Demirovic used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team back in 2011.

Former international power forward Anja Stupar (180-89, currently plays in Adriatic League) contributed to a Radivoj Korac's victory against the sixth-ranked Mladi Krajisnik (8-8) 72-67 in the Adriatic League in Saturday night's game. She scored 8 points. Radivoj Korac Beograd (11-4) is placed third in group T. There are only four games left until the end of the Adriatic League Regular Season. Stupar's overall stats this season are: 6.5ppg, 5.5rpg and 2.0spg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team two years ago.

Forward Vanja Milosevic (182-91, currently plays in Serbia) managed to help Srbobran Reahem in a victory against the third-ranked Radnicki KG (10-6) 57-46 in the Serbian A League last Saturday. Milosevic scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 20 minutes. Srbobran Reahem (8-9) is placed seventh in the A League. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Milosevic's overall stats are: 6.9ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2spg in the 17 games. She is a former U18 international player as four years ago she still played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #11. Former international guard Tamara Kapor (184-91, currently plays in Adriatic League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Anja Stupar and both played together in the last Adriatic League game. Kapor helped her Serbian team Radivoj Korac win their game against the sixth-ranked Mladi Krajisnik 72-67. She scored 6 points and added 3 passes. Kapor's total stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.8apg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team two years ago.

   #12. Former international power forward Alma Kovacevic (186-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Amra Mehmedic. However that was another game of her team in Bulgarian NBL which brought her to that list. Kovacevic helped Haskovo 2012 edge the closely-ranked Rilski Sportist 64-63. She scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. Kovacevic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #5 with 8.9rpg. She also averaged so far 9.4ppg and 1.1apg in the nine games. Kovacevic used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team back in 2010.

   #13. Former international guard Sasa Cadjo (178-89, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped her Serbian team Partizan win their game against the closely-ranked PEAC-PECS 76-64 in the Adriatic League last Saturday. She scored only 1 points. This season Cadjo averages just 4.0ppg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team five years ago.

   #14. Former international forward Marina Dzinic (187-92, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Hope-GBA win their game against the closely-ranked Riva Basket 82-77 in the Swiss LNA in Sunday night's game. She scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Dzinic has reliable stats this season: 11.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.1spg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team back in 2011.

   #1. Aleksandra Begenisic (193-C-89, currently plays in Greece) led Aris to a victory against the tenth-ranked Olympiakos (3-11) 69-61 in the Greek A1 in Saturday night's game. Begenisic had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds in 26 minutes. Aris Thessalonikis (7-7) is placed fifth in the A1. It's Begenisic's first season with the team. This year her overall stats are: 9.8ppg and 7.3rpg in the 11 games she played so far.

   #2. Sedina Halimic (195-C-83, currently plays in Adriatic League) managed to help Vojvodina Nis Novi Sad in a 1-point victoryagainst the tenth-ranked ZKK Vrsac (3-11) 103-102 in the Adriatic League on Saturday night. Halimic scored only 1 points in 5 minutes on the court. Vojvodina Nis Novi Sad (11-6) is placed fourth in group T. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Adriatic League Regular Season. This year Halimic's total stats are: 2.5ppg and 3.2rpg in the 11 games.

   #3. Belma Subasic (168-G-95, currently plays in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss LNA could not help Highflyers (1-14) to beat Helios (15-0). Subasic cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 3 points in 23 minutes. The bottom-ranked Highflyers were crushed 82-35 on the road by the leading Helios. It was Highflyers' 13th consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Subasic's total stats are: 4.3ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.5spg in the 15 games. She has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Swiss.

Division I Round 8 (Second Stage): Jedinstvo edges Orlovi by three points - May 23, 2016

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Division I took place in Tuzla. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Orlovi (2-7) to fourth ranked Jedinstvo (5-4) 77-74 in the game for the fourth place. Orlovi was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-17 charge of Jedinstvo, which allowed them to win the game. Bembibre lands Dragana Svitlica - May 16, 2016

Embutidos Pajariel Bembibre PDM (LFB) landed 28-year old Bosnian center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas). She has played for the last two years at Zamarat (LFB). In 21 games she averaged 12.0ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.7apg last season. Among other achievements Svitlica's team won Hungarian Hepp Cup in 2014.
