Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bosnia and Herzegovina players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Zack Wright (195-85, college: Central Mo., currently plays in VTB United League). Wright led his Russian team Spartak St.Petersburg to a victory over the eighth-ranked Kalev/Cramo (3-9) crushing them 80-59 in the VTB United League on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Wright scored 14 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 28 minutes on the court. Spartak St.Petersburg (9-2) is placed first in group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Wright's first season with the team. This year he averages: 7.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.6apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 61.1%(33-54) and FT: 80.8% in the 11 games he played so far. Wright is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team. Strangely Wright has never played in Bosnia.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Nihad Djedovic (198-90, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the main contributor in an ALBA Berlin's victory against the closely-ranked Brose Baskets Bamberg (0-5) 82-63 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Djedovic was the best player in that game. He scored 20 points, grabbed 8 boards, passed 3 assists and added 4 steals. ALBA Berlin (1-4) is placed seventh in group E. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. Djedovic's overall stats this season are: 9.3ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.8apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 44.2%, 3FGP: 31.4% and FT: 67.4%. He is in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international shooting guard Ivan Opacak (201-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in VTB United League). He was the major contributor in a PGE Turow's victory against the closely-ranked Azovmash (2-10) 78-69 in the VTB United League last Monday. Opacak scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. PGE Turow Zgorzelec (3-9) is placed ninth in group A. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. Opacak's overall stats this season are: 7.4ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 34.8%, 3FGP: 57.7%(15-26) and FT: 66.7%. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian. Ex-KK Zenica Celik player is also a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

Guard Ernest Bremer (194-80, agency: Higher Vision Sports, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked SAIE3 BO (6-11) crushing them 91-68 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday. He scored 10 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 20 minutes. EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (10-7) is placed sixth in the SerieA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Bremer's overall stats are: 4.3ppg, 2.2rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg in the six games. He is a naturalized American. Bremer used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team back in 2011. He played also for Bosna ASA BH Telecom Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina league.

   #5. International guard Nemanja Mitrovic (197-90, college: Portland, currently plays in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1 could not help Kavala (3-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Kavala lost 79-88 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#5) AGOR. Mitrovic was the top scorer with 24 points in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was Kavala's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Mitrovic's total stats are: 8.3ppg and 2.7rpg in the 14 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Canadian and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mitrovic plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Forward Mirza Teletovic (206-85, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Brooklyn Nets (26-18) in their game against the Houston Rockets (24-22) in the NBA. He scored 9 points. But the Brooklyn Nets were defeated 119-106 in Houston by the Rockets. Teletovic has averaged so far 3.3ppg and 1.3rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team roster.

Former international center Esmir Rizvic (213-82, college: Texas Tech, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to a Maribor Messer's victory against the seventh-ranked LTHcast Mercator (5-8) 84-73 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Rizvic recorded 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. KK Maribor Messer (10-3) is placed third in the Telemach League. Rizvic is ranked seventh on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (third place). He has very reliable stats this year: 14.8ppg and 7.2rpg in the 13 games. Rizvic used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team four years ago.

   #8. Guard Muhamed Pasalic (192-87, currently plays in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1 was not able to secure a victory for Aris (7-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Aris was badly defeated 81-62 in Athens by the second-ranked Panathinaikos. Pasalic was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 3 steals in 31 minutes. Pasalic has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg in the 14 games. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

International center Ognjen Kuzmic (215-90, currently plays in Spain) helped FIATC Joventut win their game against the closely-ranked Unicaja Malaga (8-11) 79-71 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Kuzmic recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. FIATC Joventut Badalona (10-9) is placed eighth in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Kuzmic has averaged so far 7.2ppg and 5.8rpg. He is also in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Popovic was the top player that evening. He had a double-double by scoring 22 points and making 11 passes in 39 minutes. KK Sloga Societe Generale Kraljevo (5-12) is placed 13th in the A League. Popovic is ranked fourth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Popovic averages: 17.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 7.5apg and 1.6spg in the 12 games. He is a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #11. International forward Ante Masic (200-85, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped his Croatian team Cedevita edge the 12th-ranked KK Zadar 74-73 in the Adriatic League last Saturday. Masic recorded 8 points. He has averaged so far 5.8ppg and 2.0rpg. Masic plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #12. Former international point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala couldn't help Timisoara (10-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Timisoara lost 84-95 in Cluj to the higher-ranked (#4) U-Mobitelco. Jovanovic was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) in 39 minutes. Jovanovic is ranked fifth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (third place). He has very impressive stats this year: 16.7ppg, 2.3rpg and 6.4apg in the 19 games. Jovanovic used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team back in 2009.

   #13. Former international power forward Elvir Ovcina (212-76, another player represented by Interperformances, college: Syracuse, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL couldn't help LTi 46ers (4-15) in their last game. Despite Ovcina's very good performance the bottom-ranked LTi 46ers lost 69-83 in Berlin to the much higher-ranked (#3) ALBA. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Ovcina also added 9 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 31 minutes. This year he has relatively solid stats: 12.3ppg, 6.5rpg and 3.3apg in the 15 games. Ovcina used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team eight years ago.

   #14. International point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Serbia), who plays in the Serbian A League couldn't help OKK Beograd (8-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance OKK Beograd was defeated 83-68 in Uzice by the higher-ranked Sloboda (#3). Nesovic was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added made 3 passes and 4 steals. Nesovic is currently second on the list of most steals. This season he has very good stats: 13.8ppg, 1.8rpg, 3.5apg and 2.0spg. Nesovic plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #15. Former international point guard Terell Castle (182-72, agency: Court Side, college: Nicholls St., currently plays in Sweden) helped Eco Orebro win their game against the closely-ranked White Eagles 93-79 in the Swedish Basketligan on Tuesday night. He was the top player that evening. Castle recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and making 12 passes. He also added 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Castle is currently second on the list of best passers and also on the list of most steals (second place). This season he has very high stats. Castle averages: 16.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 5.7apg and 2.0spg. He is a naturalized American. Castle used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team six years ago. He played also for BC Igokea Partizan Aleksandrovac in Bosnia and Herzegovina league.


The list of other players, who all have Bosnia and Herzegovina passport but never been selected to any of Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams:

   #1. Zoran Planinic (198-G-82, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Russia could not help Khimky (3-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Khimky was edged 85-82 on the road by the lower-ranked (#7) Fenerbahce Ulker in the group F of Euroleague. Planinic was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 6 boards, passed 6 assists and added 4 steals in 37 minutes. Planinic is currently second on the league's list of best passers with 5.9apg. He also averaged so far 13.5ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.3spg in the 14 games he played so far. Planinic has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

   #2. Bojan Bogdanovic (203-SG-89, currently plays in Turkey) led Fenerbahce Ulker to a victory over the eighth-ranked Erdemir (6-10) 82-77 in the Turkish TBL last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Bogdanovic recorded 26 points (!!!), 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul (14-2) is placed first in the TBL. Bogdanovic has relatively good stats this season: 14.0ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.6apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian.

   #3. Mirza Begic (217-C-85, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a Real Madrid's victory against the fourth-ranked Panathinaikos (3-2) 58-54 in the Euroleague last Friday. Begic scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 16 minutes. Real Madrid (5-0) is placed first in group E. So far his team won all five games in the Top 16. This year Begic's overall stats are: 4.7ppg and 3.3rpg in the 15 games. He has both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian nationalities.

   #4. Damir Markota (209-F-85, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Turkey was not able to help the league outsider Besiktas (0-5) in their last game on Friday. Despite Markota's good performance the eighth-placed Besiktas was defeated 63-57 in Siena by the leading Montepaschi in the group F of Euroleague. He scored 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Markota's overall stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.5apg. He also holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian.

   #5. Miroslav Todic (205-F-85, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) was not able to secure a victory for LeGamberi Foods Forli (8-8) in their last game. Despite Todic's very good performance LeGamberi Foods Forli was edged 79-76 in Pistoia by the higher-ranked (#4) Tuscany. He had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 18 rebounds. Todic also added and 3 steals in 36 minutes. Todic is ranked second on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 9.9rpg. He also averaged so far 15.4ppg in the 16 games. Todic has dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbian.

   #6. Emir Zimic (215-C-86, currently plays in Slovenia) was the main contributor in Tajfun's victory against the eighth-ranked Geoplin Slovan 76-66 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Zimic was the top player that evening. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds. Zimic also added 4 blocks in 25 minutes. Zimic is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (second place). This year his overall stats are: 9.7ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.5bpg in the 13 games.

   #7. Toni Bizaca (202-F-82, currently plays in Sweden) helped Sodertalje Kings win their game against the seventh-ranked 08 Stockholm 75-71 in the Swedish Basketligan in Saturday night's game. Bizaca was the top player that evening. He scored 23 points, had 5 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots. Bizaca is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Bizaca averages: 16.7ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.6apg.

   #8. Experienced Sasha Topchov (206-C-80, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in Oradea's victory against the tenth-ranked CSU Sibiu 83-76 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Sunday night. Topchov scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Topchov has relatively good stats this season: 13.1ppg and 4.4rpg.

   #9. Nikola Djurasovic (198-F-83, currently plays in Romania) helped Craiova win their game against the 12th-ranked Giurgiu 84-70 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Sunday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Djurasovic scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He has averaged so far 6.2ppg and 3.4rpg. Djurasovic has dual citizenship: Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

   #10. Suad Sehovic (196-G/F-87, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Khimik win their game against one of league's weakest teams Dnipro 74-67 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Sunday night's game. He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. This season Sehovic has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.2apg. He has dual citizenship: Montenegrin and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

OKK Spars Sarajevo (Division I) landed 33-year old Serbian power forward Miljan Pupovic (210-115kg-83). He played most recently at Naft Abadan in Iranian Superleague. In 32 games he averaged 7.2ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3apg last season. Pupovic helped them to make it to the final. He also played that season for Tundja Yambol in Bulgarian NBL where in three games he had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg. Montenegrin Center Maksim Sturanovic (209-C-88, agency: 011 Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Bosna-Royal, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. The 28-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Siroki Primorka (#8, 2-5) with 19-point margin 99-80.
