Aleksej
Nesovic
Petrolina AEK Larnaca (Division A) added to their roster 28-year old Serbian-Bosnian point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85, agency: Beo Basket). He started the season at OKK Beograd in Serbian A League. In 17 games this season he had 13.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 4.2apg and 2.1spg. Nesovic also played 6 games in Balkan League where he recorded 11.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.3apg and 2.0spg. He ended the last season at Radnicki (A League) in Serbian league. In 13 games last year he recorded 2.4ppg and 1.5rpg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. But the most of that year Nesovic spent at KK Vrsac in Serbia. In 24 Adriatic League games he recorded 6.5ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.3apg and 1.0spg.
The previous (10-11) season Nesovic played at Buducnost in Montenegrin league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In two Euroleague Qualifying Round games that season he recorded 6.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.0apg and 3.0spg. He also played 6 games in Eurocup where he recorded 5.7ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.5apg. In 15 games in Adriatic League where he recorded 5.6ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals.
Nesovic won Montenegrin League championship title in 2011. He represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the European Championships in Lithuania two years ago.
Nesovic is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Croatia (KK Zagreb), Germany, Greece (Olimpiada), Italy, Poland, Slovenia (Un.Olimpija), Spain (Baloncesto Fuenlabrada), Turkey (Aliaga).
On Nesovic: Good handler and shooter, he can play in 1 and 2 spot. A player with enormous athletic potential, hes quick and a really good leaper, he can beat the opponent every time he wants. He can drive to the basket resisting at fouls and scoring, or serving dishes to big men. Fast and good 3-pointer shooter, he can score coming out from the screens. He also likes to play pick and roll showing a great range of solutions. His good athletic qualities makes him a very good full court defender against the point guard, he likes to play aggressive and can also deny the best scorer passing on the pick and playing hard when the game needs so.
