Igokea had to toil for a home win over Szolnoki tonight. The league leaders clinched just 2-point victory at the end. Corsley Edwards (205-C/F-79, college: Cent.Conn.St.) delivered 19 points for the winners.
Igokea exploded with 27 points in the opening quarter and raced to a 6-point lead after ten minutes. Szolnoki cut the deficit in the second frame. The Hungarian team narrowed the gap at 3-point mark at the interval 43:40. The visitors pulled ahead in the third term. They poured in 25 points to build a 4-point lead heading into the fourth frame. Igokea used a 6:0 rally to spur in front in the fourth frame howver Szolnoki kept close. Corsley Edwards gave the home team an 83:80 lead within the final minute but a wild three-pointer from Istvan Nemeth tied things up at 83. Hammonds sank two free throws, while Florence answered with just one as Igokea grabbed an 85:84 lead. Joksimovic sank another free throw and sealed the win at the end. Sinisa Stemberger (195-G-79) nailed 11 points for the winning side. Sead Sehovic (196-G/F-89) accounted for 14 points for Szolnoki. Brandon Gay (203-F-82, agency: Edge Sports, college: San Diego) had 13 points in the defeat.

OKK Spars Sarajevo (Division I) re-signed 18-year old Serbian forward Aleksa Stepanovic (206-98). He played there last season. In 6 Division I games he averaged 3.3ppg and 1.2rpg. Part of previous (2014-15) season Stepanovic spent at Fair Play Nis (KLS) in Serbian league. He helped them to win the group title. OKK Spars Sarajevo (Division I) confirmed in their roster 19-year old center Alija Piric (211-97). He has played there for the last three seasons. But in 16 Division I games he had just 1.6ppg last season. Piric helped them to make it to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup Semifinals. He won Bosnian A1 Liga championship title in 2013.
