Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bosnia and Herzegovina players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Zack Wright (195-85, college: Central Mo., currently plays in VTB United League), who plays in Russia. He could not help Spartak St.Petersburg (11-5) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Wright's very good performance the fourth-placed Spartak St.Petersburg was edged 78-75 on the road by the lower-ranked BC Astana (#5) in the group A of VTB United League. He was the top scorer with 20 points. Wright also added 4 steals. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Wright's first season with the team. This year he averages: 9.4ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.5apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 62.2%(56-90), 3FGP: 16.7% and FT: 77.8%. Wright is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team. Strangely Wright has never played in Bosnia.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Kenan Bajramovic (205-81, currently plays in Turkey). He led Banvit BK to a victory against the seventh-ranked TED Kolejliler (11-9) 81-76 in the Turkish TBL on Sunday night. Bajramovic had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 12 rebounds in 27 minutes. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (18-2) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. This year Bajramovic's overall stats are: 8.2ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 42.6% and FT: 76.9% in the 19 games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Romania). Jovanovic led Timisoara to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Miercurea Ciuc (3-22) 89-71 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Jovanovic recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and making 10 passes. He also added and 4 steals. BC Timisoara (17-8) is placed sixth in the Liga Nationala. Jovanovic is ranked seventh on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (third place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Jovanovic averages: 16.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 6.3apg, 3FGP: 36.6% and FT: 91.3%(95-104). He played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team four years ago.

   #4. Forward Mirza Teletovic (206-85, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Brooklyn Nets (34-26) in their game against the Chicago Bulls (34-26) in the NBA. Teletovic recorded 9 points. But the Brooklyn Nets were defeated 96-85 in Chicago by the Bulls. Teletovic's total stats this season are: 3.5ppg and 1.6rpg. He is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player.

International guard Muhamed Pasalic (192-87, currently plays in Greece) was the main contributor in Aris' victory against the closely-ranked Apollon Patras (9-10) 68-64 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. Pasalic was the best player in that game. He recorded 20 points and added 4 assists. Aris Thessaloniki (11-8) is placed sixth in the A1. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Pasalic has relatively good stats this season: 12.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.1spg. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #6. Forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, currently plays in Croatia) contributed to a KK Zagreb's victory against the seventh-ranked KK Zabok (6-10) 85-72 in the Croatian A1 in Sunday night's game. Halilovic recorded 15 points and added 3 passes. KK Zagreb (12-4) is placed first in the A1. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Halilovic's total stats this season are: 4.7ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.3apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior team two years ago.

Despite Mitrovic's very good performance Kavala was defeated 81-69 in Thessaloniki by the much higher-ranked PAOK (#4). He was the top scorer with 18 points. Mitrovic also added 4 rebounds. Mitrovic's total stats this season are: 9.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.1apg. He is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player.

An experienced shooting guard Ivan Opacak (201-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in VTB United League), who plays in Poland couldn't help PGE Turow (4-12) in their last game on Monday. Despite Opacak's good performance PGE Turow (#8) was defeated 99-85 in Donetsk by the higher-ranked BC Donetsk (#7) in the group A of VTB United League. He recorded 11 points. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Opacak's total stats this season are: 8.2ppg and 3.2rpg. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Former international guard Ernest Bremer (194-80, agency: Higher Vision Sports, college: St.Bonaventure, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Armani Milano (13-8) in their game against Trenkwalder RE (12-9) in the Italian SerieA. Bremer scored 9 points in 23 minutes. But Armani Milano was badly defeated 79-61 in Reggio Emilia by the lower-ranked (#7) Trenkwalder RE. This year Bremer's total stats are: 5.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.3apg in the 10 games. He is a naturalized American. Bremer used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team two years ago. He played also for Bosna ASA BH Telecom Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina league.

   #10. Forward Nihad Djedovic (198-90, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Germany couldn't help ALBA Berlin (1-8) in their last game on Friday. Despite Djedovic's good performance ALBA Berlin (#7) was defeated 80-65 in Moscow by the higher-ranked CSKA (#3) in the group E of Euroleague. He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Djedovic also added 3 assists. Djedovic has averaged so far 9.2ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team roster.

   #11. Former U16 international forward Dejan Todorovic (94, currently plays in Spain) helped Clinicas Rincon win their game against the ninth-ranked Castello 82-67 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Todorovic was the top player that evening. He recorded 29 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. Todorovic is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers with 13.3ppg. This year he also averages: 3.8rpg and 1.3apg in the 18 games. Todorovic used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U16 national team four years ago.

   #12. International point guard Sasa Vasiljevic (180-79, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) helped Halychyna win their game against the closely-ranked Azovmash 89-86 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Sunday night. He recorded 11 points and added 7 passes. Vasiljevic has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 1.6rpg and 4.0apg. He is also in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #13. Former international point guard Terell Castle (182-72, agency: Court Side, college: Nicholls St., currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan couldn't help Eco Orebro (5-26) in their last game. Despite Castle's very good performance the bottom-ranked Eco Orebro was badly defeated 93-75 in Stockholm by the much higher-ranked (#4) 08 Stockholm. He was the top scorer with 32 points. Castle also added 8 rebounds in 34 minutes. Castle belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #8) and also on the list of best passers (second place). He has very impressive stats this year: 17.2ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.7apg and 1.8spg in the 31 games. Castle is a naturalized American. He used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team six years ago. Castle played also for BC Igokea Partizan Aleksandrovac in Bosnia and Herzegovina league.

   #14. International center Nedzad Sinanovic (221-83, currently plays in Spain) helped Blancos de Rueda win their game against the eighth-ranked Asefa Estudiantes 80-77 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Sinanovic has averaged so far 7.2ppg and 4.1rpg. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #15. Former international center Esmir Rizvic (213-82, college: Texas Tech, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Maribor Messer win their game against the closely-ranked Elektra 62-59 in the Slovenian Telemach League last Saturday. Rizvic scored 8 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 29 minutes. This year he has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg and 6.4rpg in the 17 games. Rizvic used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team four years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Bosnia and Herzegovina passport but never been selected to any of Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams:

   #1. Bojan Bogdanovic (203-SG-89, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Turkey could not help Fenerbahce Ulker (2-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the seventh-placed Fenerbahce Ulker was badly defeated 87-69 on the road by the second-ranked Montepaschi Siena in the group F of Euroleague. Bogdanovic was the top scorer with 22 points in 32 minutes. Bogdanovic is currently fourth on the league's list of top scorers with 15.8ppg. He also averaged so far 2.1rpg and 1.2apg in the 19 games he played so far. Bogdanovic has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian.

   #2. Stanko Barac (216-C-86, currently plays in Turkey) led Anadolu Efes to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Antalya (4-16) crushing them 96-72 in the Turkish TBL in Sunday night's game. Barac recorded 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Anadolu Efes Istanbul (16-4) is placed fourth in the TBL. Barac's total stats this season are: 4.5ppg and 2.4rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian.

   #3. Zoran Planinic (198-G-82, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Russia was not able to help Khimky (5-4) in their last game. Despite Planinic's good performance Khimky (#4) was edged 71-69 in Barcelona by the leading Regal FC in the group F of Euroleague. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Planinic also added 5 rebounds in 35 minutes. Planinic is currently second on the league's list of best passers with 6.1apg. This year he also averages: 13.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.2spg in the 17 games. Similarly like Barac and Bogdanovic above Planinic has both Croatian and Bosnia and Herzegovina nationalities.

   #4. Damir Markota (209-F-85, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL was not able to secure a victory for Besiktas (12-8) in their last game on Monday. Despite his very good performance Besiktas was defeated 78-70 in a derby game by the leading Fenerbahce Ulker. Markota was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 6 rebounds. Markota's total stats this season are: 8.2ppg, 5.9rpg and 2.1apg. Similarly like three previous players above, he also holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian.

   #5. Nikola Jeftic (202-F-85, currently plays in Serbia) led OKK Beograd to a surprising victory over the second-ranked Mega Vizura (18-5) 90-84 in the Serbian A League in Saturday night's game. Jeftic was MVP of the game. He scored 28 points (!!!), grabbed 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 33 minutes. OKK Beograd (11-12) is placed eighth in the A League. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Jeftic has relatively good stats this year: 12.8ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.5spg in the 22 games. He has dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbian.

   #6. Goran Suton (208-C-85, college: Michigan St., currently plays in Adriatic League), who plays in Croatia couldn't help Cedevita (12-11) in their last game. Despite Suton's good performance Cedevita was edged 77-76 at home by the leading Partizan. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. This year Suton's total stats are: 5.4ppg and 2.9rpg in the 21 games. He has Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian nationalities.

   #7. Mirza Begic (217-C-85, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a 3-point Real Madrid's victory against the eighth-ranked Brose Baskets Bamberg 76-73 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Begic scored 8 points. His total stats this season are: 4.9ppg and 3.1rpg. Begic has dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian.

   #8. Marko Keselj (206-SF-88, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in France) was the major contributor in a Le Mans' victory against the eighth-ranked Paris-Levallois 72-59 in the French ProA last Saturday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes. Keselj has relatively good stats this year: 14.5ppg and 8.0rpg in the two games. He holds both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbian passports.

   #9. Robert Rothbart (217-C-86, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL couldn't help Start Gdynia (5-16) in their last game. Despite Rothbart's very good performance the bottom-ranked Start Gdynia was edged 75-72 on their home court in Gdynia by the higher-ranked (#9) Siarka Jezioro. He had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds. Rothbart also added 4 blocks in 27 minutes. Rothbart has relatively good stats this year: 13.6ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.1bpg in the 20 games. He has dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli.

   #10. Sead Sehovic (196-G/F-89, currently plays in Adriatic League), who plays in Hungary couldn't help Szolnok (7-16) in their last game. Despite Sehovic's good performance Szolnok was edged 86-84 in Aleksandrovac by the leading Igokea. He was the top scorer with 14 points. Sehovic also added 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 31 minutes. This year Sehovic has relatively solid stats: 12.4ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.4apg in the 19 games. He has Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegrin nationalities.

Defending champion BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Division I) tabbed 26-year old Slovenian international forward Blaz Mahkovic (201-90). He has played for the last two years at Un.Olimpija in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. Mahkovic managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 13 Liga Nova KBM games he averaged 5.4ppg and 1.5rpg. Alex Renfroe (190-PG-86, college: Belmont, agency: BeoBasket) has joined BiH national team in their base in Tuzla. After many speculations about his arrival it looks there has been a turnaround and Alex has reached Tuzla. He still needs to do required medical checkups and make himself available to coaching staff.
