The Regular Season in Division I is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.

Round 19 in Division I means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Mrkonjic Grad where host Mladost (14-5) beat league's leader Bosna ASA BHT (13-6) 98-92 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Mladost made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Bosna ASA BHT helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Drasko Knezevic (185-93) fired 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Milan Kezic (193-86) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Sindis Demic (192-83) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Mladost keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Capljina. Bosna ASA BHT at the other side dropped to the third place with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Capljina. Bosna ASA BHT will play next round against Leotar trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Mladost will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Servitium in Gradiska.
Bottom-ranked Vogosca managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses. This time they won against seventh-ranked Zrinjski HT in Sarajevo 94-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zrinjski HT. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian swingman Mario Filipovic (196-88) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Amin Hot contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Montenegrin center Boris Lalovic (209-81) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for Zrinjski HT. Zrinjski HT's coach Zoran Glomazic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vogosca (7-12) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Kakanj. Zrinjski HT at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Borac Nektar and Posusje. Vogosca will play against higher ranked Borac Nektar (#8) in Banja Luka in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zrinjski HT will play at home against Posusje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Trebinje was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Borac Nektar (8-11) played at the court of seventh ranked Leotar (9-10). Leotar defeated Borac Nektar 73-62 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Djordje Ninkovic who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Nebojsa Pavlovic responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Borac Nektar's coach Drago Karalic tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Leotar moved-up to sixth place. Borac Nektar lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Posusje and Zrinjski HT. Leotar will meet higher ranked Bosna ASA BHT (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Borac Nektar will play against Vogosca (#10) in Sarajevo and hope to secure a win.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Posusje, where 4th placed Radnik B. (10-9) lost to ninth ranked Posusje (8-11) in a road game 67-81. It was an exceptional evening for Ivan Bakovic who led the winners and scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Posusje's coach Tihomir Mustapic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Posusje moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Borac Nektar and Zrinjski HT. Radnik B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Posusje's next round opponent will be Zrinjski HT (#7) in Mostar. Radnik B. will play at home against Kakanj.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Varda. Local Varda HE (10-9) outscored 11th ranked Servitium (6-13) 83-58 on Saturday night. Marko Josilo fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Varda HE moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Radnik B. Loser Servitium dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Varda HE will face league's leader Capljina Lasta on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Servitium will play against the league's second-placed Mladost (#2) in Mrkonjic Grad.

In the last game of round 19 Capljina defeated Kakanj in a road game 77-64.


Posusje - Radnik B. 81-67

We should mention about the upset which took place in Posusje, where 4th placed Radnik B. (10-9) lost to ninth ranked Posusje (8-11) in a road game 67-81. It looked good early as Radnik B. took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Posusje had a 25-10 second period charge getting the lead and Radnik B. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-81. Posusje dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Radnik B.'s 36. Posusje forced 20 Radnik B. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Radnik B.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian guard Ivan Bakovic (197-81) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Kresimir Mustapic (206-90) accounted for 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Posusje's coach Tihomir Mustapic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Nebojsa Erkic (197-89) came up with 17 points and power forward Jovica Kecman (204-88) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Radnik B. in the defeat. Posusje moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Borac Nektar and Zrinjski HT. Radnik B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Posusje's next round opponent will be Zrinjski HT (#7) in Mostar. Radnik B. will play at home against Kakanj.

Bottom-ranked Vogosca managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses. This time they won against seventh-ranked Zrinjski HT in Sarajevo 94-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zrinjski HT. Vogosca made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Zrinjski HT was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian swingman Mario Filipovic (196-88) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Igor Damjanovic (190-85) produced 13 points and 7 assists and swingman Nemanja Bilanovic (198-87) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. There was no surprise when 10th ranked Kakanj (7-12) was defeated at home by second ranked Capljina Lasta (14-5) 77-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-64. Strangely Kakanj outrebounded Capljina Lasta 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Serbian guard Krsto Bjelica (192-88) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Serbian guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-85) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Capljina Lasta players scored in double figures. Capljina Lasta's coach Goran Peric used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. point guard Dinko Peljto (187-87) produced 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Amar Suljagic (210-88) added 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side.
