We bring you last week's top performances from Bosnians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Sasa Cado (178-89, currently plays in Turkey). She led Istanbul Uni to a victory over the closely-ranked Mersin BSB (6-6) 73-54 in the Turkish KBSL in Sunday night's game. Cado was MVP of the game. She recorded 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 35 minutes on the court. Istanbul Universitesi SK (6-5) is placed sixth in the KBSL. Cado has relatively good stats this year: 13.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 46.9%, 3FGP: 46.2%(24-52) and FT: 71.4% in 10 games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbian. Cado played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team nine years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Marica Gajic (187-95, currently plays in Turkey). She could not help Girne Universitesi (3-8) in their last game on Friday. Despite Gajic's very good performance Girne Universitesi was defeated 82-76 on the road by the higher-ranked Adana ASKI (#8). She recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 13 rebounds. Gajic also added 3 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Gajic has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 17.0ppg, 11.2rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 53.5%, 3FGP: 29.0% and FT: 76.1%. Gajic is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian. She is in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was former U16 international center Dragana Stankovic (195-95, currently plays in Turkey). Stankovic contributed to Hatay's victory against the closely-ranked Mersin MBK (4-6) 86-73 in the Turkish KBSL on Friday night. She scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes. It was her first game for Hatay this season. Her team is placed ninth in the KBSL. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Stankovic has both Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovina nationalities. Former Sloboda Novi Grad starter played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U16 national team eight years ago.

Milina Miseljic
   #4. Power forward Milina Miseljic (186-98, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in MZRKL) managed to help Crvena Zvezda Beograd to win against the 11th-ranked Badel (4-6) crushing them 88-40 in the WABA in Thursday night's game. She recorded only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Crvena Zvezda Beograd (0-6) is placed third in the WABA. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. It's Miseljic's first season with the team. Miseljic's overall stats this year are: 3.7ppg and 2.4rpg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team back in 2013.

Goran Lojo has been named the Bosnian Women's National Team head coach. Goran Lojo has experience working with the U18 National Selection. He has worked lately with Play Off Sarajevo. Goran Lojo guided the team to the Bosnian Cup trophy back in 2017. He also guided Play Off to League titles in 2016 and 2017.   [read more]
