The most exciting game of round 12 in the Division I took place in Kakanj. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Kakanj (7-4) to seventh ranked Siroki Primorka (5-7) 94-92 on Saturday evening. Siroki Primorka shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. It was a good game for Slovenian point guard Jan Mocnik (178-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Croatian center Franko Kastropil (212-84) contributed with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Center Obrad Tomic (206-93) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds for Kakanj. Kakanj's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Siroki Primorka moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mladost. Kakanj at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Sloboda Tuzla. Siroki Primorka is looking forward to face league's second-placed Zrinjski HT in Mostar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kakanj will play on the road against Gradjanski in Bijeljina and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Zrinjski HT (8-3) against tenth ranked Bosnjak (3-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Zrinjski HT was defeated by Bosnjak in Hadzici 85-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Zrinjski HT. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Mujo Tuljkovic (202-79, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Amir Dovadzija who added 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Bozo Djurasovic (200-87) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Zrinjski HT's coach Hrvoje Vlasic tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnjak maintains tenth position with 3-9 record. Zrinjski HT at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Bosnjak will play against higher ranked Mladost (#6) in Mrkonjic Grad in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zrinjski HT will play at home against Siroki Primorka (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Spars Sarajevo in a game in Trebinje versus Leotar (#8) 80-70. The winners were led by Bojan Pelkic who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Even 31 points by Zlatko Jovanovic did not help to save the game for Spars Sarajevo. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leotar maintains eighth position with 4-7 record. Loser Spars Sarajevo keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Leotar will meet league's leader Bosna-Royal in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
