Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Bosnians who are currently playing abroad.


Dzanan Musa

   #1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Dzanan Musa (204-99, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Croatia). He led Cedevita to a victory over the closely-ranked KK Vrijednosnice Osijek (10-7) crushing them 98-70 in the Croatian A1 in Monday night's game. Musa was MVP of the game. He recorded 22 points, 5 assists and 3 steals in 31 minutes on the court. KK Cedevita Zagreb (12-4) is placed fifth in the A1. Musa has relatively good stats this year: 14.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.6apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 35.7% and FT: 75.6% in 11 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Ognjen Kuzmic (213-90, currently plays in ABA League). Kuzmic was the major contributor in a Crvena Zvezda's victory against the fifth-ranked Cibona (11-11) 69-56 in the ABA League last Sunday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (21-1) is placed first in the ABA League. There are only four games left until the end of the ABA League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Kuzmic's first season with the team. This year Kuzmic averages: 9.5ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 64.3%(72-112) and FT: 71.2%. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbian. Kuzmic played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team in 2012.

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Nihad Djedovic (196-90, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in EuroCup). He contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Khimky (4-2) crushing them 96-74 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. Djedovic scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. FC Bayern Muenchen (6-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all six games in the Second Stage. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Djedovic has been at the team for four years. This season his overall stats are: 5.7ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 54.3%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 71.4% in 13 games. Djedovic is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and German. He is also a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #4. Center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Germany) could not help ALBA Berlin (14-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance ALBA Berlin was crushed 80-56 on the road by the higher-ranked Bayern Muenchen (#3). Kikanovic was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 rebounds. Kikanovic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.0ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.4apg. Kikanovic is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player.

International power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) contributed to Cibona's victory against the fourth-ranked Stelmet 81-69 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was his first game for Cibona this season. His team is placed first in group Q. Sulejmanovic has both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finnish nationalities. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #6. Forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, currently plays in Croatia) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked H.Analitica (3-14) 93-75 in the Croatian A1 last Thursday. Halilovic scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 2 blocks. GKK Sibenik (13-4) is placed fourth in the A1. This season Halilovic has relatively solid stats: 14.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 3.4apg, 1.5bpg and 1.3spg. International guard Muhamed Pasalic (192-87, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) was the main contributor in Oradea's victory against the third-ranked Usak Sportlif 82-72 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Pasalic recorded 25 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. It was his first game for Oradea this season. His team is placed seventh in group Q. Pasalic is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player.

Forward Mirza Teletovic (206-85, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Indiana Pacers (29-25) 116-100 in the NBA last Saturday. He scored 19 points in a mere 17 minutes. The Milwaukee Bucks have 23-30 record this season. Teletovic has reliable stats this year: 7.2ppg and 2.5rpg in 44 games. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #9. International guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo., currently plays in France) contributed to Monaco's victory against the 16th-ranked Olympique Antibes (6-13) 91-84 in the French ProA on Friday night. Wright recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. AS Monaco Basket (17-2) is placed first in the ProA. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Wright's total stats this season are: 7.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.1apg and 1.2spg. He is a naturalized American. Wright is also in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Strangely he has never played in Bosnia.

   #10. Swingman Aleksandar Lazic (201-96, currently plays in Serbia) was not able to help Dynamic BG (13-4) in their last game. Despite Lazic's good performance Dynamic BG lost 69-78 at home to the lower-ranked (#5) Dunav SB. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 12 rebounds. Lazic also added 2 blocks in 28 minutes. This year Lazic's total stats are: 9.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.5spg in 14 games. He is U20 international player who is currently on the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team roster.

   #11. Former U18 international forward Dejan Jeftic (197-89, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Umea crushing them 83-62 in the Swedish Basketligan last Thursday. Jeftic was the top player that evening. He scored 26 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds. Jeftic averaged so far 12.5ppg and 4.3rpg. He used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team ten years ago.

   #12. U20 international center Markus Loncar (211-96, currently plays in Croatia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dzanan Musa and both played together in the last Croatian A1 game. Loncar contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked KK Vrijednosnice Osijek crushing them 98-70. He recorded 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Loncar has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 3.4rpg. He is also in the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina U20 national team.

   #13. International center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) was not able to secure a victory for Demir IBB (5-1) in their last game. Despite Stipanovic's good performance the first-placed Demir IBB lost 81-91 in Krasnoyarsk to the lower-ranked (#3) Enisey in the group L of FIBA Europe Cup. He recorded 13 points in 23 minutes. Stipanovic's stats this year are: 11.6ppg, 6.5rpg and 2.3apg in 13 games. He is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player.

   #14. Former U16 international swingman Dejan Sakotic (195-93, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Portoroz crushing them 108-58 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM in Friday night's game. He scored 14 points and added 6 passes in 24 minutes. Sakotic has averaged so far 5.4ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.5apg in 16 games. He used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U16 national team back in 2009.

   #15. Former international guard Marko Josilo (200-92, currently plays in Serbia) couldn't help Metalac (7-10) in their last game. Despite Josilo's very good performance Metalac lost 68-74 in Subotica to the higher-ranked (#8) Spartak. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Josilo also added 9 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 37 minutes. Josilo averaged so far 14.0ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg in nine games. Despite he played previously for the Serbian U19 national team, Josilo is currently in the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team roster.


The list of other players, who all have Bosnia and Herzegovina passport but never been selected to any of Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams:

   #1. Domagoj Bosnjak (201-F/G-95, currently plays in Croatia) led Cibona to a victory over the tenth-ranked KK Skrljevo (5-12) crushing them 98-71 in the Croatian A1 in Friday night's game. Bosnjak was the best player in that game. He scored 23 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (13-4) is placed third in the A1. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Bosnjak's total stats this season are: 4.4ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.5apg.

   #2. Boris Barac (205-F-92, currently plays in Croatia) was the main contributor in a KK Zadar's victory against the eighth-ranked KK Zagreb (9-8) 94-86 in the Croatian A1 last Wednesday. He was the best player in that game. Barac recorded 25 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in 32 minutes. KK Zadar (8-6) is placed fourth in the A1. This year Barac has relatively solid stats: 11.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 2.3apg in 14 games he played so far.

   #3. Dragan Djuranovic (203-C/F-88, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Portoroz (1-16) crushing them 108-58 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM on Friday night. Djuranovic was the best player in that game. He scored 18 points, had 5 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots in 23 minutes. Rogaska Crystal (12-6) is placed fifth in the Liga Nova KBM. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Djuranovic has reliable stats this year: 10.7ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3spg in 18 games.

   #4. Goran Suton (208-C-85, college: Michigan St., currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a Movil Estudiantes' victory against the 12th-ranked Sevilla (7-13) 77-73 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Suton had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds in 26 minutes. Movistar Estudiantes (13-5) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Suton has averaged so far 6.8ppg and 5.1rpg in 19 games. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian.

   #5. Aleksandar Todorovic (206-C/F-87, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to Borac's victory against the closely-ranked Vrsac (10-7) 78-68 in the Serbian KLS on Friday night. Todorovic scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. KK Borac Mozzart Cacak (12-5) is placed third in the KLS. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. Todorovic averaged so far 13.6ppg and 6.4rpg.

   #6. Suad Sehovic (197-G/F-87, currently plays in ABA League) contributed to Buducnost's victory against the closely-ranked Cibona 94-87 in the ABA League last Monday. Sehovic was the top player that evening. He scored 17 points. Sehovic averaged so far 10.3ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegrin.

   #7. Dino Pita (195-G-88, currently plays in Poland) contributed to Krosno's victory against the closely-ranked Anwil 78-71 in the Polish PLK on Sunday night. He recorded 14 points. Pita has averaged so far 5.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.2apg. He has both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Swedish nationalities.

   #8. Experienced Dejan Cup (202-PF-83, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Slovenia) could not help Hopsi Polzela (12-6) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Cup's good performance Hopsi Polzela was defeated 70-64 at home by the second-ranked Krka. He was the top scorer with 14 points. Cup also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Cup averaged so far 14.6ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg. He also holds two passports: Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

   #9. Nedim Muslic (197-F-99, currently plays in Qatar) contributed to an Al Gharafa's victory against the league outsider Al Khor 83-70 in the Qatari D1 on Sunday night. Muslic scored 6 points, grabbed 7 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots in 28 minutes. Muslic has averaged so far 6.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg in 15 games. He has Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatari nationalities.

   #10. Simo Atanackovic (206-F-90, currently plays in Slovenia) was not able to help Helios (10-8) in their last game. Despite Atanackovic's good performance Helios lost 71-79 on the road to the higher-ranked (#3) Un.Olimpija. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Atanackovic also added 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. Atanackovic averaged so far 10.9ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.2spg in 18 games. He holds both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian passports. Despite Atanackovic's Bosnia and Herzegovina nationality, he previously played for the Slovenian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina team.

Zrinjski HT - Bosna-Royal 67-76 Bosna-Royal outgunned Zrinjski HT on the road to complete the sweep of the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. Bosna-Royal outrebounded Zrinjski HT 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Club Trujillo (LNB) inked 27-year old American swingman Quinton McDuffie (197-104kg-90, college: Chowan). He played most recently at Gorazde in Bosnia and Herzegovina D2 league.
