Division I Round 14: Sloboda topple Jedinstvo by two after a very close game - Mar 5, 2017

The most exciting game of round 14 in the Division I took place in Novi Grad. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Jedinstvo (5-7) to eighth ranked Sloboda (4-9) 61-59 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 17-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Sloboda moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Brcanka. Jedinstvo lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Zeljeznicar. Sloboda is looking forward to face Mladi Krajisnik (#9) in Banja Luka in the next round. Jedinstvo will play at home against Impuls (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
Division I top team - Play Off (14-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Brcanka (4-9) in Brcko 82-47. Undefeated Play Off have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-0 record. Brcanka at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sloboda. Play Off will play against Orlovi (#4) in Banja Luka in the next round. Brcanka will play on the road against Celik in Zenica and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Sarajevo supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Banovici (11-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Zeljeznicar (5-7). Banovici smashed Zeljeznicar 96-43 on Sunday. Banovici have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Zeljeznicar lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Jedinstvo. Banovici will meet at home Rudar Sport (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zeljeznicar will have a break next round.
A very interesting game took place in Ugljevik. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Mladi Krajisnik (3-10) to tenth ranked Rudar Sport (3-10) 56-54 in the fight for the ninth place. Rudar Sport moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Mladi Krajisnik. Rudar Sport's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Banovici on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
The game between 11th ranked Impuls (1-12) and third ranked Celik (11-2) in Sarajevo on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Zenica outscored Impuls 91-25. Celik have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Celik maintains third position with 11-2 record having four points less than leader Play Off. Impuls lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Celik will face Brcanka (#7) in Brcko in the next round. Impuls will play on the road against Jedinstvo (#6) in Tuzla and hope to win that game.

Zeljeznicar - Banovici 43-96

The game in Sarajevo supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Banovici (11-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Zeljeznicar (5-7). Banovici smashed Zeljeznicar 96-43 on Sunday. The game without a history. Banovici led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Banovici have a solid four-game winning streak. Brcanka - Play Off 47-82

Division I top team - Play Off (14-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Brcanka (4-9) in Brcko 82-47. It looked good early as Brcanka took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Play Off had a 18-9 second period charge getting the lead and Brcanka was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 47-82. Play Off have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-0 record. Brcanka at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sloboda. Play Off will play against Orlovi (#4) in Banja Luka in the next round. Brcanka will play on the road against Celik in Zenica and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Impuls - Celik 25-91

The game between 11th ranked Impuls (1-12) and third ranked Celik (11-2) in Sarajevo on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Zenica outscored Impuls 91-25. The game without a history. Celik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Impuls to just 3 points in first quarter and to 7 points in first half. Celik have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Celik maintains third position with 11-2 record having four points less than leader Play Off. Impuls lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost.
