We bring you last week's top performances from Bosnians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former U18 international center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Belgium). She led Castors Braine to a victory over the tenth-ranked Houthalen (4-16) crushing them 132-44 in the Belgian Top Division Women in Saturday night's game. Milic was MVP of the game. She scored 30 points (!!!), had 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 28 minutes on the court. Royal Castors Braine (21-0) is placed first in the Top Division Women. So far her team won all twenty one games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Milic has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 16.7ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.1apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 61.7%(145-235) and FT: 73.0% in 21 games she played so far. Milic has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Lynetta Kizer (193-90, college: Maryland, currently plays in Greece). Kizer was the major contributor in Olympiacos' victory against the closely-ranked Panathinaikos (12-5) 69-59 in the Greek A1 last Sunday. She recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Olympiacos Pireus (17-0) is placed first in the A1. So far her team won all seventeen games in the Regular Season. This season Kizer has very high stats. She averages: 16.8ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 66.3%(114-172) and FT: 82.0%. Kizer is a naturalized American. Despite she played previously for the USA university national team, Kizer is currently a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team. Strangely she has never played in Bosnia.

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Miljana Dzombeta (169-94, currently plays in Serbia). Dzombeta could not help Vrbas Medela (12-9) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Vrbas Medela lost 75-79 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Partizan. Dzombeta was the second best scorer with 21 points. She also added 7 boards, passed 6 assists and added 4 steals in 39 minutes. Dzombeta's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Dzombeta has relatively good stats this year: 13.8ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.7apg, 3.3spg, 2FGP: 52.3%, 3FGP: 29.0% and FT: 68.2% in 20 games. She is also a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #4. Guard Milica Deura (178-90, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a TSV 1880 Wasserburg's victory against the eighth-ranked SV Halle Lions (7-12) 93-80 in the German DBBL in Sunday night's game. Deura scored 12 points and added 7 passes. TSV 1880 Wasserburg (18-2) is placed first in the DBBL. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Deura's first season with the team. Her overall stats this year are: 10.0ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.8apg. Deura is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player.

Former U18 international power forward Milina Miseljic (186-98, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Serbia) helped Crvena Zvezda win their game against one of league's weakest teams Novosadska ZKA (3-17) crushing them 97-49 in the Serbian 1 ZLS last Saturday. She scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. Crvena Zvezda Beograd (17-4) is placed second in the 1 ZLS. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. This year Miseljic's overall stats are: 4.4ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.6spg in 20 games. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team four years ago.

   #6. Center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Socinsa Bembibre (9-13) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Svitlica's good performance Socinsa Bembibre was defeated 77-66 on the road by the much higher-ranked Gernika (#3). She was the second best scorer with 14 points. Svitlica also added 4 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Svitlica's total stats this season are: 9.7ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.2apg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team roster.

   #7. Former U18 international guard Teodora Trebovac (170-96, currently plays in Serbia) was not able to secure a victory for Sabac (9-12) in their last game. Despite Trebovac's good performance Sabac was badly defeated 86-68 in Beograd by the leading Radivoj Korac. She was the second best scorer with 13 points. Trebovac also added made 3 passes and 3 steals in 32 minutes. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. This year Trebovac's total stats are: 5.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.2apg and 1.9spg in 20 games. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team four years ago.

An experienced point guard Ksenija Mitric (162-1, currently plays in WABA) managed to help ZKK Athlete Celje to win against the league outsider Partizan (2-11) crushing them 71-42 in the WABA in Wednesday night's game. Mitric recorded 5 points. ZKK Athlete Celje (9-4) is placed fourth in the WABA. Her team will play only one more game in the WABA Second Stage. Mitric has averaged so far 2.6ppg and 1.4apg. She plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U16 national team.

Former international power forward Anja Stupar (180-89, currently plays in Germany) helped Rhein Main Baskets win their game against the seventh-ranked Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (10-12) crushing them 68-46 in the German 2.Bundesliga (second division) last Sunday. Stupar recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals (made all of her five free throws) in 21 minutes. Rhein Main Baskets (11-7) is placed fifth in South group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Stupar has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.2apg and 2.3spg in 16 games. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team six years ago.

   #10. Guard Irena Vrancic (167-90, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Al-Qazeres (9-13) in their game against Mann Filter (10-12) in the Spanish LFB. Vrancic scored 8 points. Al-Qazeres was edged 91-88 in Zaragoza by the higher-ranked Mann Filter (#8). It was Al-Qazeres' fifth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Vrancic has averaged so far 2.6ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.3apg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team roster.

   #11. Former U18 international swingman Esmeralda Skrijelj (180-95, currently plays in Luxembourg) helped Amicale win their game against the fifth-ranked Etzella crushing them 82-54 in the Luxembourg Total League last Friday. She recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Skrijelj has averaged so far 9.2ppg, 7.1rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg. She used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team four years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Bosnia and Herzegovina passport but never been selected to any of Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams:

   #1. Experienced Anja Perko (170-PG-0, currently plays in Croatia) led Pula C.Tours to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Brod na Savi (2-15) 87-69 in the Croatian A1 on Saturday night. Perko scored 14 points and added 7 passes. ZKK Pula Crnja Tours (10-7) is placed fifth in the A1. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Perko's total stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.9apg and 1.1spg. She has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian. Despite Perko's Bosnia and Herzegovina passport, she currently plays for the Croatian U16 national team and is not eligible to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina team.

   #2. Rada Vidovic (177-G-79, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to Partizan's victory against the closely-ranked Vrbas Medela (12-9) 79-75 in the Serbian 1 ZLS in Saturday night's game. Vidovic scored 10 points in 24 minutes. It was her first game for Partizan this season. Her team is placed third in the 1 ZLS. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season.

   #3. Aleksandra Begenisic (193-C-89, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Spain). Begenisic could not help Maquinaria Ensino (8-13) to beat Segle XXI (9-12). She scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 minutes. The tenth-placed Maquinaria Ensino (8-13) lost 65-69 on the road to the higher-ranked (#9) Segle XXI in the Group A. Begenisic has reliable stats this year: 11.3ppg and 7.3rpg in 14 games she played so far.

Goran Lojo has been named the Bosnian Women's National Team head coach. Goran Lojo has experience working with the U18 National Selection. He has worked lately with Play Off Sarajevo. Goran Lojo guided the team to the Bosnian Cup trophy back in 2017. He also guided Play Off to League titles in 2016 and 2017.   [read more]
