We bring you last week's top performances from Bosnians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Germany). He could not help ALBA Berlin (16-10) in their last game. Despite Kikanovic's very good performance ALBA Berlin lost 76-82 on the road to the leading ratiopharm Ulm. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Kikanovic also added 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 28 minutes on the court. Kikanovic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 59.3%(163-275) and FT: 77.9% in 25 games he played so far. Kikanovic is currently a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

Ognjen Kuzmic

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Ognjen Kuzmic (213-90, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Serbian team Crvena Zvezda to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Armani Milano (7-19) 78-71 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Kuzmic was MVP of the game. He scored 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (15-11) is placed fifth in the Euroleague. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Kuzmic's first season with the team. Kuzmic's overall stats this year are: 9.8ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 57.1%(101-177) and FT: 68.8%. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbian. Kuzmic played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team in 2012.

Nihad Djedovic

   #3. The Bosnia and Herzegovina player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Nihad Djedovic (196-90, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Germany). He was the major contributor in a Bayern Muenchen's victory against the 13th-ranked Walter Tigers (9-19) crushing them 85-63 in the German BBL on Sunday night. Djedovic recorded 16 points (made all of his six free throws) in a mere 17 minutes. FC Bayern Muenchen (21-3) is placed third in the BBL. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. Djedovic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Bayern Muenchen's roster. This season his overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 58.0%(51-88), 3FGP: 44.7% and FT: 84.9% in 24 games. Djedovic is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and German. He is also a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team.

   #4. Center Jusuf Nurkic (213-94, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a Portland Trail Blazers' victory against the Miami Heat (34-36) 115-104 in the NBA in Sunday night's game. Nurkic recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. The Portland Trail Blazers have 32-36 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Nurkic has very high stats. He averages: 14.4ppg, 9.4rpg, 3.5apg, 2.1bpg and 1.4spg. Nurkic has both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian nationalities. Despite he played previously for the Slovenian U16 national team, Nurkic is currently in the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team roster.

Former U18 international small forward Ivan Ramljak (203-90, currently plays in ABA League) helped his Croatian team KK Zadar win their game against the closely-ranked Un.Olimpija (10-16) 81-78 in the ABA League last Sunday. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. Ramljak also added 3 assists in 31 minutes. KK Zadar (9-17) is placed 12th in the ABA League. The Regular Season already ended in the ABA League. This year Ramljak's total stats are: 9.4ppg, 5.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg in 21 games. He also holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian. Ramljak used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina U18 national team twelve years ago.

Wright scored 6 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. AS Monaco Basket (20-3) is placed first in the ProA. Wright has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 2.9rpg and 3.9apg. He is a naturalized American. Wright plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Strangely he has never played in Bosnia.

Former international point guard Filip Adamovic (183-88, agency: 011 Sports, currently plays in Romania) helped UBT Cluj Napoca win their game against the third-ranked CSU Sibiu (14-9) 92-75 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Wednesday night. Adamovic recorded 21 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (20-3) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. Adamovic has reliable stats this season: 12.3ppg, 2.1rpg, 6.4apg and 2.1spg. He used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team three years ago.

   #11. International center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Demir IBB (6-16) in their last game. Despite Stipanovic's good performance Demir IBB was crushed 89-68 in Istanbul by the second-ranked Fenerbahce. He recorded 12 points in 20 minutes. Stipanovic has averaged so far 9.6ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.6apg in 22 games. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #12. Former international power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, currently plays in Croatia) helped Jolly win their game against the closely-ranked Cibona 80-75 in the Croatian A1 on Wednesday night. Brkic scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Brkic has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 4.5rpg. Despite he played previously for the Croatian U20 national team, Brkic is currently in the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team roster.

   #13. International point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, another player represented by BeoBasket, college: Belmont, currently plays in Spain) managed to help FC Barcelona Lassa in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Joventut crushing them 76-56 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He recorded only 3 points, 3 assists and 3 steals in 20 minutes. Renfroe has averaged so far 5.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.2apg in 11 games. He is a naturalized American. Renfroe is also Bosnia and Herzegovina national team player. Apparently he has never played in Bosnia.

   #14. International forward Mirza Teletovic (206-85, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in NBA) helped Milwaukee Bucks edge the Los Angeles Clippers 97-96 in the NBA on Wednesday night. Teletovic scored 11 points. Teletovic has averaged so far 6.4ppg and 2.3rpg. He plays currently for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

   #15. Former international power forward Miroslav Todic (205-85, agency: Diamond Sports, currently plays in Greece) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Promitheas (9-13) in their last game. Despite Todic's good performance Promitheas lost 80-84 at home to the higher-ranked (#7) AGOR. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. Todic averaged so far 10.8ppg and 5.5rpg in 13 games. He used to play for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Bosnia and Herzegovina passport but never been selected to any of Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams:

   #1. Marko Dujkovic (226-C-90, currently plays in Serbia) was the major contributor in Metalac's victory against one of league's weakest teams Smederevo (2-19) 89-82 in the Serbian KLS last Friday. Dujkovic recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds. Metalac Farmakom Valjevo (11-10) is placed eighth in the KLS. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Dujkovic has averaged so far 8.2ppg, 6.1rpg and 2.0bpg. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and FYR Macedonian.

   #2. Boris Barac (205-F-92, currently plays in ABA League) led his Croatian team KK Zadar to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked Un.Olimpija (10-16) 81-78 in the ABA League on Sunday night. Barac was the best player in that game. He scored 18 points and had 4 steals in 27 minutes. KK Zadar (9-17) is placed 12th in the ABA League. The Regular Season already ended in the ABA League. Barac has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.9apg in 25 games he played so far.

   #3. Mirza Begic (216-C-85, currently plays in ABA League) contributed to Cedevita's victory against the closely-ranked Partizan (19-7) 83-76 in the ABA League last Saturday. Begic recorded 7 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks in 19 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KK Cedevita Zagreb (20-6) is placed second in the ABA League. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Begic has averaged so far 5.6ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.2bpg in 25 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian.

   #4. Dragan Djuranovic (203-C/F-88, currently plays in Slovenia) could not help Rogaska in their last game. Despite Djuranovic's very good performance the second-placed Rogaska lost 72-83 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Un.Olimpija in the Places 1-6 group. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Djuranovic also added 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in 25 minutes. Djuranovic averaged so far 11.1ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg in 20 games.

   #5. Ismet Sejfic (208-C-93, agency: XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Hungary) led PVSK Pannon to a victory over the 12th-ranked Jaszberenyi (7-17) 80-76 in the Hungarian A Division last Tuesday. He was the best player in that game. Sejfic recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 14 rebounds. PVSK Pannonpower Pecs (13-11) is placed seventh in the A Division. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Sejfic has very high stats. He averages: 17.0ppg and 8.1rpg.

   #6. Robert Rothbart (217-C-86, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Israel) contributed to a Hapoel Eilat's victory against the ninth-ranked Maccabi Rishon 94-85 in the Israeli Winner League in Monday night's game. Rothbart scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Rothbart has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 4.1rpg. He has both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israeli nationalities.

   #7. Experienced Dejan Cup (202-PF-83, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Slovenia) was not able to help Hopsi Polzela in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Hopsi Polzela lost 56-64 in Lasko to the leading Zlatorog in the Places 1-6 group. Cup was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. Cup averaged so far 15.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg in 21 games. He also holds two passports: Serbian and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

   #8. Vedran Borovcanin (200-G/F-85, currently plays in Denmark) was the main contributor in a Horsens IC's victory against the sixth-ranked SISU crushing them 98-61 in the Danish Ligaen last Thursday. Borovcanin was the best player in that game. He scored 19 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Borovcanin's stats this season are: 11.4ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.4apg and 2.0spg.

   #9. Domagoj Bosnjak (201-F/G-95, currently plays in Croatia) helped Cibona win their game against the ninth-ranked KK Zabok 84-78 in the Croatian A1 in Sunday night's game. Bosnjak scored 8 points and added 4 assists. Bosnjak has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.7apg.

   #10. Dino Pita (195-G-88, currently plays in Poland) was not able to secure a victory for Krosno (13-12) in their last game. Despite his good performance Krosno lost 78-89 in Ostrow Wlkp. to the much higher-ranked (#3) BM Slam Stal. Pita recorded 13 points in 23 minutes. Pita has averaged so far 8.7ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.5apg in 11 games. He holds both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Swedish passports.

The physical aspect, the travel, the games and even the rules changes all proved vexing to him during the season. It's not easy being a teenager in the NBA and Dragan is still only 19 and won't turn 20 until after the next season begins.
