Strahinja
Micovic
Serbian Forward Strahinja Micovic (205-F-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for Igokea, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Spars Sarajevo (#6, 0-2), Second Stage bottom-ranked team 88-78. Igokea is placed at 3rd position in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. Igokea is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 1st lost game this season out of 2 games. In the team's last game Micovic had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Igokea's top player in his first season with the team.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old American Torrion Brummitt (201-F) of league's leader Zrinjski HT. Brummitt had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Zrinjski HT to another comfortable win outscoring Sloboda Tuzla (1-1) 88-46. His team has extremely good start of the Second Stage. They won both games so far. However the Second Stage is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Brummitt is a newcomer at Zrinjski HT and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was Croatian center Ivan Karacic (202-C-96) of Siroki Primorka (#7). Karacic scored 14 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Siroki Primorka, leading his team to a 90-70 easy win against Gradjanski (#9, 1-1). Siroki Primorka has a very good start of the Second Stage. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Karacic also has a very good start of the Second Stage with very strong stats. Karacic has a great season in Bosnia. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.0rpg (9th best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 62.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jan Mocnik (178-PG-87) of Siroki Primorka - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists
5. Djordje Milosevic (199-SG-93) of Igokea - 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Vladimir Aleksic (198-F/G-87) of Leotar - 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Ibrahim Durmo (201-F/C-97) of Spars Sarajevo - 19 points and 10 rebounds
8. Stefan Mijovic (196-G-95) of Leotar - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Vedran Princ (191-PG-82) of Zrinjski HT - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Bojan Pelkic (204-F-83) of Leotar - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
