Division I is at the halfway of the Second Stage and there are still another 5 rounds left. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most interesting game of round 5 in the Division I was a home defeat of 4th placed Sloboda Tuzla (3-2) to second ranked Igokea (4-1) 74-60. It was a key game for the top position in I. The former international center Drasko Albijanic (211-86) stepped up and scored 15 points for the winners and Serbian Djordje Milosevic (199-93) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Igokea's coach Dragan Bajic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian power forward Bozo Djumic (208-92) responded with 14 points. Defending champion keeps a position of I leader. Sloboda Tuzla at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. Igokea are looking forward to face Bosna-Royal (#4) in Sarajevo in the next round. Sloboda Tuzla will play on the road against Spars Sarajevo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Mostar. Second ranked Zrinjski HT (4-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Bosna-Royal (3-2) 81-78 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in I. Zrinjski HT maintains second place in I with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Siroki Primorka. Newly promoted Bosna-Royal dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Zrinjski HT will play against Kakanj (#6) at home in the next round. Bosna-Royal will play against the league's leader Igokea in Aleksandrovac and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Spars Sarajevo has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Kakanj (0-5) 78-70 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Stefan Djordjevic who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Vojin Svilar produced 22 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spars Sarajevo (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fifth place in I. Loser Kakanj still closes the standings with five games lost. Spars Sarajevo will meet at home higher ranked Sloboda Tuzla (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kakanj will play against the league's second-placed Zrinjski HT in Mostar and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked Leotar (0-4) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to leader Siroki Primorka (4-0) 95-77. Mateo Colak orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Siroki Primorka's coach Romeo Bilinovac allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Siroki Primorka maintains seventh place in I with 4-0 record. Leotar at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Siroki Primorka's next round opponent will be Mladost (#8) in Mrkonjic Grad.

Important game to mention about took place in Mostar. Second ranked Zrinjski HT (4-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Bosna-Royal (3-2) 81-78 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in I. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bosna-Royal won fourth quarter 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zrinjski HT maintains second place in I with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Siroki Primorka. Newly promoted Bosna-Royal dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Zrinjski HT will play against Kakanj (#6) at home in the next round. Bosna-Royal will play against the league's leader Igokea in Aleksandrovac and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Serbian guard Maksim Kovacevic (196-87) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds.
