There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Division I.

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Division I took place in Mostar. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked Zrinjski HT (5-3) to fifth ranked Spars Sarajevo (3-5) 91-90 on Wednesday evening. Spars Sarajevo made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: BeoExcell) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Serbian guard Maksim Kovacevic (196-87) who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international forward Bozo Djurasovic (200-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Spars Sarajevo maintains fifth position in I with 3-5 record. Zrinjski HT at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Spars Sarajevo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sarajevo Bosna-Royal.

The winners were led by Montenegrin center Maksim Sturanovic (209-88, agency: 011 Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and Strahinja Dragicevic supported him with 19 points. Even 12 points and 5 assists by American guard Devonte Brown (188-92, college: Indiana St.) did not help to save the game for Sloboda Tuzla. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Bosna-Royal maintains third position in I with 5-3 record behind leader Siroki Primorka. Sloboda Tuzla at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Bosna-Royal will play against Spars Sarajevo (#5) on the road in the next round. Sloboda Tuzla will play against Kakanj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kakanj's coach Josip Pandza gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first position in I with 7-1 record. Loser Kakanj still closes the standings with eight games lost. Igokea will meet league's second-placed Zrinjski HT in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kakanj will play against Sloboda Tuzla (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
An interesting game took place in Trebinje where 8th ranked Gradjanski (3-4) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Leotar (2-4) 91-79. Stefan Mijovic orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Leotar maintains eleventh position in I with 2-4 record. Gradjanski at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. Leotar's next round opponent will be higher ranked Bosnjak (#10) in Hadzici and it may be quite challenging game.

In I Bosnjak lost to Siroki Primorka on the opponent's court 70-88.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 17 points and 6 rebounds by Mateo Colak of Siroki Primorka.

Liga 6
Bosna-Royal - Sloboda Tuzla 89-59

The game between Top Four teams took place in Sarajevo. Third ranked host Bosna-Royal (5-3) smashed one of their biggest challengers Sloboda Tuzla (4-4) 89-59. Bosna-Royal dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sloboda Tuzla's 28. They outrebounded Sloboda Tuzla 41-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Bosna-Royal players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by Montenegrin center Maksim Sturanovic (209-88, agency: 011 Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian Strahinja Dragicevic (203-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) supported him with 19 points. Four Bosna-Royal players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 5 assists by American guard Devonte Brown (188-92, college: Indiana St.) did not help to save the game for Sloboda Tuzla. Forward Enes Latifagic (200-92, agency: BeoExcell) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Igokea - Kakanj 96-62

Division I top team - Igokea (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Kakanj (0-8) in Aleksandrovac 96-62. Igokea shot 61.5 percent from the field and made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game, while Kakanj only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Kakanj 34-16 including a 25-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Igokea especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Miroslav Pasajlic (190-95) who scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Serbian forward Strahinja Micovic (205-92) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Igokea players scored in double figures. Rather expected game in Siroki Brijeg where 10th ranked Bosnjak (2-4) was defeated by seventh ranked Siroki Primorka (6-1) 88-70. Siroki Primorka players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Croatian Mateo Dreznjak (197-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Mateo Colak (206-98) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Siroki Primorka players scored in double figures. Forward Rusmir Grosic (203-91) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Srdan Damjanovic (186-94) added 6 points and 6 assists in the effort for Bosnjak. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Siroki Primorka maintains seventh position in I with 6-1 record. Bosnjak at the other side keeps the tenth place with four games lost. Siroki Primorka will have a break next round. Bosnjak will play at home against Leotar (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Gradjanski's players.
