Obrad Tomic
23-year old center Obrad Tomic (206-C-93) had a very impressive game in the last round for Kakanj and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Spars Sarajevo (#5, 3-7) 69-60. Kakanj maintains the 6th position in Bosnia and Herzegovina league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Tomic had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Kakanj, through which he has constantly improved. Tomic has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 9.8rpg. Tomic is in league's top in and averages solid 50.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Bojan Pelkic (204-F-83) of Leotar. He is Montenegrin forward in his 3rd season at Leotar. In the last game Pelkic recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Leotar to edge slightly higher-ranked Siroki Primorka (#7, 6-2) by 1 point 78-77. This victory allowed Leotar to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Pelkic is one of the most experienced players at Leotar and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.4ppg (#7). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Milijan Bocka (185-PG-82) of Mladost (#10). Bocka scored 22 points and passed six assists. Despite Bocka's great performance Mladost lost 77-85 to Bosnjak (3-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mladost not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bocka could try to bring Mladost's a little bit higher in the standings. Bocka has a very solid season. In 8 games in Bosnia he scored 14.9ppg. He also has 4.4rpg, 5.4apg, 2.6spg and FGP: 68.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sasa Vasiljevic (183-PG-79) of Bosna-Royal - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
5. Stefan Mijovic (196-G-95) of Leotar - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Bojan Stanojevic (203-C-88) of Mladost - 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Ivan Karacic (202-C-96) of Siroki Primorka - 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Ernad Mujic (207-F/C-92) of Bosnjak - 16 points and 5 rebounds
9. Drasko Knezevic (186-PG-93) of Zrinjski HT - 23 points and 4 assists
10. Vedran Princ (191-PG-82) of Zrinjski HT - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

KSBiH Premier League Recap 2016-17! Igokea: 28-17 (13-13 ABA League 1-1 qualifying for Champions League) (9-1 5-2) The team was streaky in the ABA league going through a three game losing streak and a four game losing streak. The team also went through a 1-5 stretch in the season. That said the team still was ultra-competitive and ended up in fifth place in the ABA league. That experience helped the team run through the Bosnian leg of their competition until facing KK BOSNA in the finals.    [read more]
