Bosnians in High School 2017-18!

Some of the Bosnians playing in High School in the US include some interesting names and quality prospects.

Erwin Gutic: Eurohopes wrote a glowing article on Gutic three years ago when he was playing in an international tournament for the youth team OKK Spars. He has great size 207cm and is skilled. He will be playing in Melbourne Florida this fall and should put together a good season and be on the radar of international scouts.

Mirza Mesic: the 2000 year born Mesic played guard for Spars but has moved to SF for Penfield High School in New York. He made an immediate impact for his team last year.

Dusan Mahorcic: Prep hoops describe the 206cm Mahorcic as ' One of the more intriguing posts in the Illinois 2018 class is becoming Niles Notre Dame power forward Dusan Mahorcic. This post player has only been in the country for less than 18 months and is rapidly improving his game. At 6'9' he has size and length that project well long term. Broad shoulders to add the strength that he will need to for the college level. Played sparingly during his high school season as a junior, but showed flashes.'

Adi Tigani: 183cm SG who can score from the outside. He is a senior this year for Niles Notre Dame.

Adnan Sarancic: He played for Kessel Heat AAU club last summer and averaged 14ppg 9rbpg while shooting 60% from two and 80% from the FT line. He now plays for B&B Elite AAU club. He is a 194cm PF/C who is going into his sophomore year. He shows a good feel for the game and has room to grow. He plays for Warren Township High School in IL.

KSBiH A1 League Quick Notes! -Celik Zenica is in for a long season! The team is struggling mightily financially and almost all the players left from last years mediocre team. The team that produced NBA champion Ognjen Kuzmic are struggling for survival. Armin Avidbegovic has joined the team and led them to a first round win against Igman. -Gradina Srebrenik maybe the team to beat! Behind veterans Zlatko Goljijanin and Mirza Hrncic they could prove to be the team to beat in A1 league. Th...   [read more]

We bring you last week's top performances from Bosnians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88). He could not help Buducnost (2-1) in their last game. Despite Gordic's very good performance Buducnost lost 94-98 on the road to the second-ranked Igokea.    [read more]
