Kiril
Pavlovski
26-year old center Kiril Pavlovski (210-C-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza) put on an amazing game in the last round for Chernomorets and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Spartak Pleven (#7, 3-14) 78-102. Chernomorets moved-up to the 8th position in the Bulgarian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 15 games and recorded just two victories. Pavlovski turned to be Chernomorets' top player in his first season with the team. Pavlovski has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 9.9rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Ilia Stankov (198-F-76) of Spartak Pleven. He is former international forward in his 12th season at Spartak Pleven. In the last game Stankov recorded impressive 27 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he lead Spartak Pleven to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Chernomorets (#8, 2-15) 102-78. This victory allowed Spartak Pleven to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 7th position in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Spartak Pleven managed to get this year. Stankov is one of the most experienced players at Spartak Pleven and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.1ppg (#8). He also registered 5.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center John Ofoegbu (206-C-84) of Tundja Yambol (#4). Ofoegbu scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Ofoegbu's great performance Tundja Yambol lost 83-85 to Cherno More (9-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tundja Yambol needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 8 lost games. Ofoegbu has a great season in Bulgaria. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 8.8rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Martin Durchev (200-G-87) of Tundja Yambol - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Dimitar Marintchechki (201-F/C-90) of Balkan - 15 points and 11 rebounds
6. Nikolay Kolev (204-F/C-88) of Cherno More - 14 points and 10 rebounds
7. Veselin Georgiev (196-F-86) of Spartak Pleven - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Andre Owens (193-G-80) of Lukoil Academik - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Stanimir Marinov (191-G-91) of Balkan - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Lamont Mack (201-F-87) of Lukoil Academik - 15 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
