Bulgarian National team power forward Dejan Ivanov (205-F/C-86, agency: Beo Basket) is making a huge step in his career. 205 cm tall player signed with Lithuanian vice-champion for 2011/2012 Lietuvos Rytas. The contract is for one season, with an option for extension for one more. The club officialy announced the transfer today. 26-years old Dejan Ivanov spent the last 3 years in Italian Serie A team Montegranaro, after moving there in March 2009. He made a good last season in Montegranaro finishing with 13,1 points, 8,2 rebounds, 1,3 assists and 1,3 steals per game.
"Lietuvos Rytas is one of the greatest basketball clubs in Europe, so for me will be an honour and a huge motivation to join the team. I had an excellent time in Italy, but it is time for me to make the next step in my career. My long time dream is to play in Euroleague", said Dejan Ivanov, who decided not to participate in the National team this summer due to some old injuries and long, exhausting season in Italy. The same decision took his twin brother Kaloyan.
Dejan Ivanov (205-F/C-86, agency: Beo Basket) is playing abroad since 2006. First in Caja San Fernando Seville-2, after that in KK Zadar (Croatia) in 2007, KK Split (Croatia) in 2008 and 2009 till March and his final stop before Lithuanian journey was Italian Montegranaro (2009-2012).

Four Balkan players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) responded with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian center Mladen Pantic (209-82, agency: Alti Sport) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Vladimir Panic (194-F-82) was the top scorer for the winners with 25 points, as he also added 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Jordan Bozov (191-G-79) had 16 points and Stanislav Slaveykov (198-F-86) scored 14.
Julian Radionov (187-PG-79) is the new head coach of one of the most respected Bulgarian teams - Tundja Yambol.
Long time national team player, outstanding playmaker and one of the most intelligent competitors in the country, Radionov decided to leave the floor and take the next challenge - on the sideline.
