Lukoil Academic won the first derby of the season against its main rival Levski. On their own court in Pravets champions beat their opponent relatively easy by the score 91-64. They started on high note, grabbed the early lead and never gave any chance to Levski to turn the things around. After this round Levski is with 2 wins and 1 loss while Lukoil Academic have full record of 3 wins.

Lukoil Academic started the game and scored the first 7 points in the match, while in the fourth minute score was already 16-6. At the edn of the first quarter the hosts led 26-13. In the second quarter Levski had a few chances to cut the lead but in the last minute of the first half after technical Lukoil Academic scored 6 consecutive points to extend their lead to 51-30. That was the score at the break.

The second half started with a series of 6-0 for the hosts that made a difference 27 points in their favor. From that point on the game continue in that tempo and the winner was well known well before the finish. At the end the final score was 91-64.

Mohammed Abukar (208-F-85, agency: Two Points, college: San Diego St.) was the top scorer with 21 points. Darryl Watkins added 18 points and nine rebounds while Devin Green finished with 14. Captain Todor Stoykov managed 12 points coming off the bench.

For guests Pavel Ivanov ended with 13 points and 9 rebounds while Marko Marinovic finished with 11.
