Vera Perostiyska
#1. This week's number one is an international center Vera Perostiyska (195-82, college: FIU, currently plays in Eurocup). Perostiyska led her French team Union Hainaut to an easy victory against the third-ranked Young Cats (1-2) crushing them 86-42 in the Eurocup last Thursday. She recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. Union Saint-Amand Porte du Hainaut (3-0) is placed first in group B. So far her team won all three games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Perostiyska has relatively good stats this season: 11.7ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.7apg and FT: 55.6%. She is currently a member of the Bulgarian senior national team.
