Rilski Sportist lost its away game from the EUROHOLD Balkan League tonight by 84-74 to Montenegrins Teodo Tivat, who are still undeafeted in group B of the competition with four straight wins. Thus the victory puts Teodo on top of the group, but all 4 of their games have been played at home. Rilski now has a 3-2 record and the team is in a good position to advance to the next round. On December the 5th the two teams will meet in Samokov in their next match.

KK Teodo had the better start and took the early lead but after the middle of the first quarter Rilski started to play differently. The hosts built a 7-point early lead but after a 6-0 run the visitors tied the score. Teodo answered with one point but Antony Gugino′s three-pointer and Branko Mirkovic′s basket gave Rilski 22-18 lead after ten minutes.

Rilski continued to have the lead in the second quarter as well and and the team kept it. At one point the visitors scored three straight three-pointers that didn′t give them any big advantage as Teodo was scoring as well. The second quarter finished better for the hosts as they had a 7-0 run before Hristo Zahariev (197-SG-90) scored two free throws to make it 39-38 for KK Teodo at halftime.

In the third quarter both sides were very evenly matched and none of them could take a big lead. Still Teodo managed to pull away shortly before the end of the 30 minutes and the team had 62-57 advantage. With three minutes played in the last quarter the hosts went up by 10 points. From then on they controlled the game as in the middle of the quarter they led by 14 points. Until the end the lead went up to 17 and Teodo had no problems to finish off the opponent.

Savo Djikanovic (211-C-75) was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Sinisa Tepavcevic (201-F-84) had 18 and 9 while Aleksandar Radulovic (207-C-84) added a double double with 16 and 11.

For Rilski Sportist Hristo Zahariev (197-G-90) finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds while Stanislav Slaveykov (198-F-86) had 14 points.
