The game between third ranked Beroe (4-4) and fourth ranked Levski (4-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Beroe was defeated by Levski in a tough game in Sofia 72-76. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 36-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Beroe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was international forward Daniela Peteva (179-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Hristina Ivanova (183-89) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Radostina Dimitrova (185-85) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds. Levski moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Beroe. Levski is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Rilski Sportist (#7) in Samokov in the next round. Beroe will play at home against Haskovo 2012 (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
Undefeated leader Neftochimic delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Rilski Sportist (0-8) 81-41 in Burgas. It was a good game for center Gabriela Kostova (192-94) who led her team to a victory with 8 points and 11 rebounds. Maria Zhelyazkova contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Anne Farrell (187-88, college: Centenary, LA, agency: Global Sports Plaza) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 19 rebounds for Rilski Sportist. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Neftochimic (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Rilski Sportist at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Neftochimic will play against league's second-placed Dunav 8806 in Ruse in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski Sportist will play at home against Levski (#4) in Sofia and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Defending champion maintains second place with 6-1 record having just three points less than leader Neftochimic. Loser Montana 2003 keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Dunav 8806 will meet at home league's leader Neftochimic in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Montana 2003 will have a break next round.



Montana 2003 - Dunav 8806 62-70

The game in Montana was also quite interesting. Second ranked Dunav 8806 (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Montana 2003 (3-5). Dunav 8806 managed to secure a 8-point victory 70-62 on Sunday. Undefeated leader Neftochimic delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Rilski Sportist (0-8) 81-41 in Burgas. The game was mostly controlled by Neftochimic. Rilski Sportist was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
