Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bulgarian players, who play currently abroad.

Ibrahim Jaaber
Ibrahim Jaaber
#1. This week's number one is former international point guard Ibrahim Jaaber (187-84, college: Pennsylvania, currently plays in Lithuania). He was the major contributor in Zalgiris' victory against the seventh-ranked Lietuvos rytas (3-1) 90-79 in the Lithuanian LKL in Monday night's game. Jaaber scored 16 points, made 3 passes and 5 steals in 21 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Zalgiris this season. His team is placed second in the LKL. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Jaaber is a naturalized American. He played for the Bulgarian senior national team three years ago. Strangely Jaaber has never played in Bulgaria.

Earl Calloway
Earl Calloway
#2. Second place goes to former international guard Earl Calloway (191-83, college: Indiana, currently plays in Spain). Calloway led Unicaja Malaga to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked UCAM Murcia (4-6) crushing them 85-58 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. He recorded 12 points in a mere 16 minutes. Unicaja Malaga (6-4) is placed ninth in the ACB. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Calloway's first year with the team. This season Calloway averages: 8.2ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.0apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 60.7%(17-28), 3FGP: 27.5% and FT: 78.9% in the 10 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Calloway played for the Bulgarian national team in 2010. Apparently he has never played in Bulgaria.

Rowland was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 6 passes in 31 minutes. It was VEF Riga's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Rowland's first season with the team.
