Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bulgarian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Vera Perostiyska (195-82, college: FIU, currently plays in Eurocup). She was the major contributor in an Union Hainaut's victory against the fourth-ranked Young Cats (1-5) crushing them 100-79 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Perostiyska scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Union Saint-Amand Porte du Hainaut (5-1) is placed first in group B. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Perostiyska's first season with the team. She has relatively good stats this year: 12.8ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 54.8%. Perostiyska is currently a member of the Bulgarian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Radoslava Bachvarova (183-87, agency: LBM Management, college: VCU, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in France. She could not help the league outsider Arras (0-5) in their last game. Despite Bachvarova's very good performance the seventh-placed Arras lost 64-72 on the road to the higher-ranked (#4) CSM Targoviste in the group B of Euroleague. She was the top scorer with 22 points. Bachvarova also added 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 37 minutes. So far Arras lost all five games in the Regular Season. This year Bachvarova averages: 7.6ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 29.4%, 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 75.0% in the five games she played so far. She is in the roster of the Bulgarian senior national team.

   #3. The Bulgarian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international guard Gergana Georgieva (180-87, currently plays in Germany). Georgieva led ASC Theresianum Mainz to a victory over the fourth-ranked Quakenbrueck Dragons (6-4) 78-70 in the German 2.Bundesliga (12th division) in Saturday night's game. She was MVP of the game. Georgieva recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 15 rebounds. ASC Theresianum Mainz (2-1) is placed third in North group. Georgieva is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her sixth year in ASC Theresianum Mainz's roster. This season she has relatively solid stats: 14.9ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 58.1%(61-105) and FT: 65.9%. Georgieva played for the Bulgarian U20 national team five years ago.

   #4. Forward Gergana Simeonov (186-79, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Pall.Pozzuoli (2-5) crushing them 95-54 in the Italian A1 last Sunday. She scored 6 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 33 minutes. Lavezzini Parma (5-2) is placed third in the A1. This year Simeonov's overall stats are: 7.7ppg and 5.6rpg in the seven games. She used to play for the Bulgarian national team back in 2009.

Former international forward Evelina Guneva (183-80, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in Gernika's victory against the tenth-ranked Tenerife (2-5) 69-62 in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) on Saturday night. Guneva was the best player in that game. She recorded 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Gernika KESB (2-5) is placed ninth in Group B. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Guneva has reliable stats this year: 12.4ppg and 7.6rpg. She used to play for the Bulgarian national team six years ago.

Forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a San Salvatore's surprising victory against the leader San Martino (9-1) 59-56 in the Italian A2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game. Yordanova had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds in 40 minutes. Basket San Salvatore (4-6) is placed tenth in North group. It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Yordanova's stats this year are: 14.1ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in the 10 games. She is international player as she played for the Bulgarian senior team one years ago.

Former international forward Anna Rimpova (183-82, currently plays in Italy) helped Marghera win their game against the 11th-ranked Valmadrera (3-7) 71-52 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Saturday. Rimpova recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Sernavimar Marghera (8-2) is placed third in North group. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Rimpova's total stats this season are: 7.9ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.3spg. She used to play for the Bulgarian national team five years ago.

   #8. Center Stefka Miteva (190-89, currently plays in Belgium) helped Blue Cats edge the closely-ranked Jeugd Gentson (2-8) 53-52 in the Belgian Division I on Sunday night. Miteva had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added 2 blocks in 23 minutes. Crack Blue Cats Ieper (2-8) is placed second from the bottom (#11) in the Division I. Miteva belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #6) and also on the list of best blockers (third place). This year her total stats are: 8.6ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.3bpg in the 10 games. Miteva plays currently for the Bulgarian national team.

International center Aleksandra Delcheva (202-87, agency: Promotex, currently plays in Czech Republic) was not able to help DSK Karlin (2-11) in their game against Sokol Hradec Kralove (10-3) in the Czech Republic ZBL. She recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. DSK Karlin was badly defeated 74-57 in Hradec Kralove by the much higher-ranked (#3) Sokol. It was DSK Karlin's ninth consecutive loss in a row. Delcheva has averaged so far 3.4ppg and 2.7rpg in the 13 games. She is also in the roster of the Bulgarian national team.

Guard Ekaterina Dimitrova (182-87, currently plays in France) managed to help Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes ASPTT to win against one of league's weakest teams Arras (2-9) 70-66 in the French LFB on Saturday night. Dimitrova scored only 2 points. Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes ASPTT (4-7) is placed 11th in the LFB. It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Dimitrova has averaged so far 5.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.1apg and 1.7spg. She is international player as one years ago she still played for the Bulgarian senior national team.

The list of other players, who all have Bulgarian passport but never been selected to any of Bulgarian national teams:

   #1. Viktoria Mircheva (190-C-87, currently plays in Eurocup) led her French team Nantes Reze to a victory over the fourth-ranked Sint Kateline Waver (0-6) crushing them 80-59 in the Eurocup in Thursday night's game. She was MVP of the game. Mircheva scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. Nantes Reze Basket (5-1) is placed second in group D. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Mircheva's first season with the team. She has relatively good stats this year: 13.2ppg and 4.7rpg in the six games she played so far. Mircheva has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Bulgarian.

   #2. Elena Ivanova (183-F/C-93, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Romania could not help Satu Mare (2-4) to beat Vologda-Chevakata (5-1). She scored only 4 points. Satu Mare (#3) was edged 77-74 at home by the second-ranked Vologda-Chevakata in the group A of Eurocup. The Regular Season already ended in the Eurocup. Ivanova has averaged so far 3.3ppg and 1.8rpg.

   #3. Dayana Gechkova (173-G, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the Ryerson College (8-0) in their game against the McMaster (3-4) in the Canadian university league CIS. Gechkova scored 5 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 25 minutes. The Ryerson College lost 70-83 on the road to the McMaster. Gechkova has been at the team for four years. She has averaged so far 7.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.4apg in the eight games.   

Tsvetomila Petrova agreed terms with Haskovo 2012 - 13 days ago
Haskovo 2012 (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old power forward / center Tsvetomila Petrova (188-82). She was a free agent, who hadn't played professionally for more than 3 years. She had last joined Beroe Stara Zagora, in the 2015-16 pre-season, but she didn't make the final roster there. TG Neuss Tigers (2.Bundesliga) tabbed 18-year old Bulgarian forward Yanina Todorova (173-99). She has played for the last six years at the junior team of Cherno More in Bulgarian U22 League. She received also All-European Championships U18 Division B Honorable Mention award in 2017. Todorova played in the final of Bulgarian U16 Championships in 2012. Saint Gratien signs Hristina Tyutyundzhieva - 24 days ago
O Sannois Saint Gratien (NF1) signed 24-year old Bulgarian center Hristina Tyutyundzhieva (190-93). She will still stay in France where she played last season at Avenir in the LF2. Tyutyundzhieva helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. The previous (15-16) season she played at Tarbes Gespe Bigorre. In 22 games she recorded only 2.3ppg and 2.5rpg.
