The most exciting game of round 11 in the NBL took place in Sofia. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 3rd placed Levski (5-5) to second ranked Dunav 8806 (7-2) 77-76 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Levski. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Levski 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Dunav 8806 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Levski helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Kristina Santiago (185-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Amanda Johnson (187-90, college: Oregon, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Dunav 8806's coach Georgi Bozhkov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International forward Daniela Peteva (179-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 23 points for the hosts. Defending champion maintains second place with 7-2 record having four points less than leader Neftochimic. Levski at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Dunav 8806 are looking forward to face Haskovo 2012 (#5) at home in the next round. Levski will play against Montana 2003 and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

The former international power forward Milena Tomova (189-82, college: FIU) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds for Montana 2003. Undefeated Neftochimic (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Montana 2003 at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Neftochimic will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Montana 2003 will play at home against Levski (#3) in Sofia and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Rilski Sportist will play against Beroe (#4) in Stara Zagora and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Bottom-ranked Rilski Sportist (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-62 loss to sixth ranked Haskovo 2012 (4-5) in Haskovo on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Haskovo 2012. Rilski Sportist managed to win third quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Haskovo 2012 forced 21 Rilski Sportist turnovers. It was a great evening for Bosnian guard Amra Mehmedic (177-81) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Bosnian power forward Alma Kovacevic (186-83) helped adding 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Undefeated leader Neftochimic delivered the tenth consecutive victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Montana 2003 (3-6) 73-64 in Burgas. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-9. But Montana 2003 won second period 16-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Neftochimic dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Montana 2003's 24. American power forward Ashley Gayle (193-90, college: Texas, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 18 rebounds.
