The most exciting game of round 11 in the NBL took place in Sofia. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 3rd placed Levski (5-5) to second ranked Dunav 8806 (7-2) 77-76 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Levski. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Levski 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Dunav 8806 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Levski helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Kristina Santiago (185-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Amanda Johnson (187-90, college: Oregon, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Dunav 8806's coach Georgi Bozhkov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International forward Daniela Peteva (179-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 23 points for the hosts. Defending champion maintains second place with 7-2 record having four points less than leader Neftochimic. Levski at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Dunav 8806 are looking forward to face Haskovo 2012 (#5) at home in the next round. Levski will play against Montana 2003 and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

Olga Dubrovina contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Milena Tomova (189-82, college: FIU) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds for Montana 2003. Undefeated Neftochimic (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Montana 2003 at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Neftochimic will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Montana 2003 will play at home against Levski (#3) in Sofia and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Bottom-ranked Rilski Sportist (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-62 loss to sixth ranked Haskovo 2012 (4-5) in Haskovo on Sunday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-9. But Montana 2003 won second period 16-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Neftochimic dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Montana 2003's 24. American power forward Ashley Gayle (193-90, college: Texas, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 18 rebounds. Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. CS Municipal Satu Mare (Liga I) agreed terms with 27-year old American forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR). She played last season at Beroe in Bulgarian NBL league. Reed managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 11 NBL games she had 9.5ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg. She helped them to make it to the cup final. The last time (14) she played at Atenienses in Puerto Rican BSNF In 2008 Holt was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in first round (9th overall). Haskovo 2012 (NBL) inked 27-year old American center Chelsey Lee (193-89, college: Rutgers). She played in the summer at Washington Mystics (WNBA). The last season Lee played at Hanabank in South Korean WKBL where in 41 games she recorded 14.9ppg, 10.5rpg (leader !!!), 1.1spg and 1.1bpg. She played in the final of WKBL.
