Serbian Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83) had a great game in the last round for Levski Sofia and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 29-year old playmaker had the game-high 26 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Levski Sofia in his team's victory, helping them to beat Chernomorets (#9, 3-6) 90-81. Levski Sofia maintains the 3rd position in Bulgarian NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Levski Sofia will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Marinovic had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Levski Sofia's top player in his first season with the team. Marinovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 15.9ppg), assists (4th best: 5.8apg) and averages solid 68.6% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American center James Tyler (218-C-88) of Chernomorets. This loss caused Chernomorets to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Tyler is a newcomer at Chernomorets and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#2). He also registered 13.3 boards per game. alumni Tyler played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

He was a key player of Lukoil Academik, leading his team to a 96-63 easy win against U20 (#10, 0-9). Lukoil Academik confirms their top position in the standings Massamba has a great season in Bulgaria. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.2apg (6th best).
