American forward Amanda Johnson (187-F-90, agency: LBM Management) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Dunav 8806, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds, while her team crushed Beroe (#5, 4-7) with 19-point margin 79-60. Dunav 8806 maintains the 2nd position in Bulgarian NBL. They are still close to the very top. Dunav 8806 would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 9-2 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. She turned to be Dunav 8806's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Oregon star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.8rpg) and assists (8th best: 2.9apg).

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old former international power forward Milena Tomova (189-F/C-82) of Montana 2003. Tomova had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Montana 2003 was edged by the higher-ranked Haskovo 2012 (#3, 5-6) 78-75. This loss caused Montana 2003 to drop to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Tomova is a newcomer at Montana 2003, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.9ppg (#3). She also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ashley Gayle (193-F/C-90, agency: LBM Management) of league's top team Neftochimic. Gayle scored 19 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Neftochimic, leading her team to a 78-69 win against #4 ranked Levski in a game of the week. Neftochimic have amazing season winning all 11 games without a single defeat. Gayle turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Gayle has a great season in Bulgaria. After 11 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 12.9rpg (#1 in league). She also has 2.0bpg and FGP: 57.6%.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Haskovo 2012 (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old power forward / center Tsvetomila Petrova (188-82). She was a free agent, who hadn't played professionally for more than 3 years. She had last joined Beroe Stara Zagora, in the 2015-16 pre-season, but she didn't make the final roster there. TG Neuss Tigers (2.Bundesliga) tabbed 18-year old Bulgarian forward Yanina Todorova (173-99). She has played for the last six years at the junior team of Cherno More in Bulgarian U22 League. She received also Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U18 Division B Honorable Mention award in 2017. Todorova played in the final of Bulgarian U16 Championships in 2012. O Sannois Saint Gratien (NF1) signed 24-year old Bulgarian center Hristina Tyutyundzhieva (190-93). She will still stay in France where she played last season at Avenir in the LF2. Tyutyundzhieva helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. The previous (15-16) season she played at Tarbes Gespe Bigorre. In 22 games she recorded only 2.3ppg and 2.5rpg.
