Green's 25 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award - Dec 24, 2012

30-year old swingman Devin Green (201-G/F-82) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Lukoil Academik and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 25 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Lukoil Academik in his team's victory, helping them to crush Spartak Pleven (#9, 3-7) with 16-point margin 91-75. It allowed Lukoil Academik to consolidate first place in the Bulgarian league. Lukoil Academik has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. Green turned to be Lukoil Academik's top player in his first season with the team. Devin Green averages this season 14.5ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Nemanja Milosevic (204-F/C-87, agency: Interperformances) of Tundja Yambol. He is Montenegrin forward in his first season at Tundja Yambol. In the last game Milosevic recorded impressive 29 points and 9 rebounds. Of course Tundja Yambol cruised to a 82-70 relatively comfortable win over U20 (#10, 0-10). Tundja Yambol's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Milosevic is a newcomer at Tundja Yambol and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Reginald Holmes (193-G-87) of Beroe (#7). Holmes got into 30-points club by scoring 41 points in the last round. Despite Holmes' great performance Beroe lost 89-96 to the higher-ranked Levski Sofia (#2, 8-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Beroe not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Holmes could try to bring Beroe's a little bit higher in the standings. Holmes has individually a great season in Bulgaria. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (best scorer). He also has 2.1spg and and 3PT: 41.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83) of Levski Sofia - 27 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Darryl Watkins (211-C-84) of Lukoil Academik - 19 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Atila Santos (208-C-83) of Balkan - 14 points and 12 rebounds
7. Uros Petrovic (205-F-90) of Balkan - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Deyan Karamfilov (180-PG-94) of U20 - 12 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists
9. Aleks Simeonov (200-F-93) of U20 - 20 points and 7 rebounds
10. Stoyan Petkov (198-F-85) of Tundja Yambol - 10 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
